The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Then, Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the work carried out with a view of the further strengthening of legal framework of the country, consecutive improvement of legislative activity and conformity of the national legislation with standard norms of international law, took the floor.

As she informed, at present, working groups carry out preparation of the bills aimed at formation of modern legislative basis of justice, further effective realisation of the rights and freedom of the individual and citizen guaranteed by the Constitution of Turkmenistan, creation of legal basis of the legal acts adopted by administrative bodies, improvement of activity of the electoral system, streamlining of work of profile establishments in the motor transport sphere and maintenance of appropriate organisation of the migration policy. Development of the bills that regulate public relations in a number of areas is carried out.

At the same time, she informed on adopted measures within the framework of strengthening cooperation with international organisations and world states. So, the working meeting for discussion of ways of realisation of the work plan for 2025 between the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Office of the Children's Fund of the United Nations Organization (UNICEF) in our country took place.

Along with it, the conference «The role of women in strengthening global peace and security», organised jointly with structural divisions of the United Nations was held. The given forum was timed to announcement of 2025 as «International year of peace and trust» and to the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of our fatherland. During the conference issues of increase of efficiency of the activity, which is carried out together with international structures in popularisation of achievements of our state and its initiatives put forward on maintenance of regional global stability, trust and sustainable development by means of parliamentary diplomacy were discussed.

Besides it, deputies take part in educational events on the social and political significance of the policy realised by the head of the state, the motto of the International year of peace and trust, a historical aspect of industrial and social and cultural projects put into operation as well as actions for explanation of provisions of adopted laws to various strata of society.

Summing up the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted importance of continuation of preparation of new bills and making amendments and additions to the legal acts in force. He also underlined necessity of regular actions for explanation of adopted legal documents.
