Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to discuss progress in the country’s agro-industrial complex and the regions.

The meeting was opened by Ahal Velayat Hyakim T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the carried out seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As reported, wheat fields are being maintained in accordance with agricultural practices, including mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation.

To ensure the smooth start and proper completion of cotton sowing, necessary measures are being taken to prepare the land and high-quality seeds for the season.

Meanwhile, spring potato and vegetable and melon crops are being planted in the velayat’s agricultural lands according to the appropriate agronomic schedule.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on preparations for cultural events planned in the region to mark International Women’s Day, as well as on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the organized implementation of ongoing seasonal agronomic activities in the velayat’s agricultural lands is one of the key conditions for obtaining abundant agricultural harvests, and gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also ordered that the high-quality and timely completion of work planned in the velayat for this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs, be monitored.

Then, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the ongoing agricultural campaigns in the velayat.

As reported, in accordance with the established goals of growing a bountiful wheat harvest and fully providing the population with the corresponding product, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied to wheat fields.

Additionally, as part of the upcoming cotton sowing season, land leveling and harrowing are being carried out in agricultural areas. Steps are also being taken to prepare high-quality cotton seeds and agricultural machinery for cotton producers for the season.

The velayat is also taking the necessary measures to complete the sowing of spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons on schedule.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on preparations for the celebratory events marking International Women’s Day, as well as on the implementation of work planned in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted that strict adherence to scientifically based agricultural requirements promotes the production of high-quality produce, and in this regard, instructed the hyakim to ensure the proper implementation of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayat.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered that the proper and timely implementation of work planned for this year as part of the implementation of state programs be monitored.

Then, the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, reported on the state of agriculture in the region.

As reported, in accordance with the objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan to increase agricultural production in the country and strengthen food abundance, seasonal work continues on the velayat’s agricultural lands.

In fields sown with wheat, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied in compliance with agricultural practices.

In preparation for cotton sowing, the land is being leveled, harrowed, and irrigated. Necessary measures are also being taken to prepare high-quality seeds suitable for the velayat’s soil and climate conditions, as well as agricultural machinery for cotton producers, for the sowing season.

Furthermore, the region has begun sowing onions and cabbage.

A report was also given on the progress of preparations in the velayat for International Women’s Day celebrations and the pace of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of ongoing seasonal agricultural work and, in this regard, instructed the hyakim to ensure continuous oversight of wheat care and preparations for the spring planting season.

The head of state also ordered that the high-quality and timely completion of work planned in the velayat for this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs, be closely monitored.

Then, the hyakim of Lebap velayat, D. Genjiev, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to achieve a bountiful wheat harvest this year, irrigation and mineral fertilization are being carried out in the region’s fields.

As part of the upcoming cotton sowing season, work is underway to fertilize the land with mineral fertilizers, level it, chill it, and perform leaching irrigation, as well as select high-quality seeds for agricultural producers.

Meanwhile, the spring potato and onion planting campaign has entered its final stage in the region’s agricultural fields. The sown areas are being irrigated to ensure germination.

The hyakim also reported on preparations for the upcoming celebrations of International Women’s Day and on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to ensure coordinated work across all agencies involved in seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region’s fields and gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also instructed the hyakim to oversee the high-quality and timely completion of work on facilities scheduled for opening in the region this year, in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Mary Velayat Hyakim D. Annaberdiev then reported on seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As reported, irrigation for germination and mineral fertilization are currently ongoing in wheat fields.

In preparation for cotton planting, the fields are being leveled and harrowed and high-quality seed is being prepared for agricultural producers.

Additionally, measures are being taken to plant spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons in the region according to established agricultural schedules.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on the progress of festive events planned in the velayat for International Women’s Day, widely celebrated in the country, as well as the pace of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year in accordance with Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development programs.

Summarizing the report, the President noted that strict adherence to agricultural requirements at all stages of agricultural production is essential, and he gave the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

The head of state also noted the importance of timely and high-quality completion of tasks within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development programs, instructing the hyakim to monitor these issues.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

As reported, mineral fertilizer application and irrigation of wheat fields are currently underway in the regions in accordance with agricultural practices.

Furthermore, measures are being taken to prepare high-quality seed for agricultural producers in order to ensure the organized implementation of the crucial cotton sowing campaign.

As part of efforts to provide the population with domestic agricultural products, preparation of fields and seeds for spring crops continues, as well as the organized planting of potatoes and vegetables.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov placed particular emphasis on the strategic role of the agro-industrial sector in the national economy, noting that strict adherence to scientifically based agricultural practices during seasonal agricultural campaigns promotes high yields, efficient use of land and water resources, and the prevention of soil salinization, and addressed a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state again emphasized the importance of ongoing agricultural work. In this regard, he instructed the country’s regions to properly carry out leveling, chilling, and harrowing in areas allocated for cotton sowing, as well as flushing irrigation in accordance with agricultural standards in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats. He also instructed them to take measures to ensure a timely and complete supply of high-quality seeds to cotton producers, prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for spring sowing, and continue to care for wheat crops, applying necessary mineral fertilizers in compliance with agricultural requirements, while paying particular attention to irrigation.

The President also emphasized the importance of strict oversight of the implementation of agricultural activities during the spring planting of potatoes, vegetables, and melons, in accordance with the agronomic deadlines and at a high quality level, the preparation of seeds and planting areas for these crops in Dashoguz velayat, and the timely settlement of payments between agricultural producers and service organizations.

Furthermore, the head of state noted the importance of organizing the planned International Women’s Day celebrations in the regions at a high level, as well as taking the necessary measures to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of work planned for the current year in the velayats under the Socio-Economic Development Program and the National Rural Program, and gave corresponding instructions.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family well-being, and great success in their work.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of issues of state life were considered.

Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the activity carried out to further improve the legal framework of the country, was the first to take floor.

As she informed, preparation of the bills connected with political, economic and cultural spheres as well as improvement of living conditions of people is carried out. At the same time, introduction of respective amendments and additions into laws in force proceeds.

She also informed on results of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan under the leadership of the head of the Mejlis to Georgia on February 23-24 of the current year. During the visit, meetings with the President, Prime Minister and the head of the parliament of the friendly country, who conveyed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag their warm words of greeting and best regards, took place.

In addition, the head of parliament informed on preparation for events on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Ashgabat and Arkadag cities. In particular, she informed on the work carried out to hold ceremonies in honour of mothers, who given birth and have brought up eight and more children and who have been awarded the Honorary title of Turkmenistan «Ene mähri», and their presentation with keys to new apartments at a high level.

Summing up the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined the significance of further perfection of the legislation of the country and appropriate preparation and organization of events on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Kh.Geldimyradov reported on the activity of the Main Public Service «Türkmenstandartlary» and its structural divisions.

As he reported, at present, due measures are implemented to carry out standardization and certification and stage-by-stage conduction of international accreditation of experimental laboratories at high level and of high quality. In the given context, he informed on cooperation with leading organisations for accreditation of foreign countries within the concluded bilateral agreements.

In that connection, for consideration of the head of the state a relevant proposal was submitted.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on necessities of constant perfection of activity of the Main Public Service «Türkmenstandartlary». Having approved the proposal prepared with a view of organisation of work in the given area at high level taking into account the international standards, the head of the state gave the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet a number of instructions to that end.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet G.Agajanov reported on practical steps taken by "Türkmengaz" State Concern for implementation of infrastructural projects.

As he reported, necessary measures are taken to increase the export potential and expand routes of deliveries of Turkmen natural gas. For the purpose of increase of efficiency of work, cooperation with leading foreign companies specialising in this area is developed.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted a relevant proposal for consideration of the head of the state.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that in the country proper work is carried out to increase possibilities of export of Turkmen natural gas and create safety reserves of tank gas.

Having approved the proposal on increase of overall performance of "Türkmengaz" State Concern, the head of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to take necessary measures.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev reported on the activity of the agricultural complex and course of seasonal campaigns in velayats.

As he reported, at present, the wheat fields are fed with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation according to agro-technical standards.

The fields to be sown with cotton are graded, levelled, harrowed and irrigated and high quality seeds are prepared for sowing in the forthcoming season.

Velayats get prepare the fields for spring sowing campaign of vegetables, gourds and their seeds. Besides it, potatoes and vegetables are planted.

According to the National Forest Program of Turkmenistan, due work is also carried out to manage wildlife, maintain ecological stability and life of people in the favourable environment, transform our fatherland into a blossoming garden. Today, the forestry farms of the Ministry of Nature Protection prepare saplings of various plants for spring planting of trees.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of fulfilment of work on complex development of the agricultural sector and providing of proper care of wheat fields according to agro-technical standards. The head of the state also instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out agro-technical activities in the fields to be sown with cotton.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annamammedov reported on the activity of the subordinate sector, in particular, on measures taken for accomplishment of the capital.

As he informed, necessary measures are realized for transformation of Ashgabat into a blossoming garden, creations of appropriate conditions for cultural leisure of its residents and guests and conduction of festive events at high level.

In this connection, accomplishment of territories of social, cultural projects, parks, districts where trees are planted and repair of fountains and planting of various kinds of decorative trees, are carried out on a constant basis.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked that Ashgabat city will host celebrations on the occasion of International Women's Day and the National Spring Holiday. In connection with forthcoming festive events, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to continue work on accomplishment and decoration of the capital.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet N.Atagulyev reported on the course of preparation for the exhibition timed to the 18th anniversary of formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the international forum «Investments into the future of Turkmenistan».

As he reported, today, about 70 foreign companies and international organisations, which have expressed desire to take part in these events, were registered. Registration of participants proceeds. Representatives of corresponding ministries and sectoral departments, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will become delegates of the forum from the Turkmen party.

Then, Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Seyidova reported on preparation for organisation of the celebrations timed to International Women's Day.

As she informed, on the occasion of the forthcoming holiday, velayats, and Ashgabat and Arkadag cities will host a number of events. So, in the Centre of Public Organisations the song-music solemn conference and exhibition «Ene hüwdüsi - iň kämil eser», in the State Museum of the State Culture Centre – a conference and exhibition «Ogulabat ejäniň el hünäri türkmen zenanlarynyň görelde mekdebidir», in the Fine Art Museum - an exhibition «Şekillendiriş sungatynda zenan waspy» will take place. Besides it, it is planned to sum up the competition declared in honour of International Women's Day.

At the same time, theatres will display performances, cinemas and film concert centres will show Turkmen films. Concerts will be also organised.

In that connection, the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet submitted a relevant proposal for consideration of the head of the state.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the significance of well-organised conduction of events in velayats, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities on the occasion of International Women's Day and instructed the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet to prepare properly for the festive concert with participation of workers of art and culture and to ensure its high level.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Mammedov reported on the work conducted in the country on development of scientific-medical diplomacy.

As he informed, under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, undertakings of Hero-Arkadag that are successfully put into practice, the positive experience, which was gained in such areas as health protection, construction of scientific-clinical centres, hospitals, sanatoria, pharmaceutical enterprises meeting international standards of the World Health Organization, development of medical science, strengthening of international cooperation, are widely introduced. All it promotes the further improvement of state of health of population, development of global scientific-medical diplomacy based on achievements of advanced practice in the given sphere and increase of the international authority of our fatherland.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted a relevant proposal for consideration of the head of the state.

Having underlined that in our country effective and complex measures are taken for development of medical science, promotion of international cooperation in this area, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out corresponding work on preparation of the National Strategy for development of scientific-medical diplomacy in Turkmenistan for 2026-2052.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annayev reported on the measures realized for perfection of national legislation for increase of efficiency of the activity of sphere of motor transport according to international norms.

As he informed, for the purpose of implementation of the state policy on maintenance of traffic safety, appropriate fulfilment of international conventions ratified by our country in the given area, the Motor Transport Ministry conducts consecutive activity to bring national rules in conformity to requirements of international documents.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted a relevant proposal for consideration of the head of the state.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that in our country on the basis of international norms the legislation is modernized for improvement of work of the sphere of motor transport and maintenance of transport safety. Having approved the proposal on improvement of the activity on control over observance of mode of work and rest of drivers at realisation of international automobile transportation, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out corresponding work.

Then, addressing members of the Cabinet, the President of Turkmenistan underlined that our dear mothers play a big role in preservation of the sacred family hearth, worthy education of sons and daughters. Their work promotes increase of authority of our sovereign fatherland. In that regard, in our independent state, our dear mothers enjoy a great respect and deep honour, the head of the state said.

Having signed the Decree on conferment of the Honorary title of Turkmenistan «Ene mähri» on mothers of large families, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that International Women's Day on March 8 will be widely noted. In the given context, the head of the state focused attention on the importance of well-organised conduction and maintenance of high level of events to honour the women awarded on the occasion of the holiday the Honorary title of Turkmenistan «Ene mähri» and their presentation with keys of apartments.

In the afternoon, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

During the meeting, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan conveyed to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze friendly greetings, kind words, and best wishes to the nation of Georgia from President of Turkmenistan, esteemed Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen nation, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, D.Gulmanova noted that the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia, which have existed for many years, are actively developing, including by supporting each other's initiatives within the framework of authoritative international organizations.

The parties emphasized the importance of bilateral visits and meetings between turkmen-georgian parliamentarians, including the visit of the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament to Turkmenistan and the current visit of the turkmen delegation, and expressed confidence that bilateral inter-parliamentary relations will become more stable in the future.

They also stressed the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening intergovernmental cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, and trust and expressed their readiness to support the development of cooperation in this area.

As part of the official visit to Georgia, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan met with the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili.

During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan conveyed to the President of Georgia warm greetings and best wishes to the nation of Georgia from the President of Turkmenistan, the esteemed Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen nation, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Turkmen side noted that the friendly relations between the two countries in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, which have existed for many years, are actively developing, including by supporting each other's initiatives within the framework of authoritative international organizations.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation in the field of international law plays a significant role in the further development of large-scale, equal, and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. It was noted that this cooperation contributes to the further strengthening of friendship and brotherhood between nations and the support of interstate relations through parliamentary diplomacy.

In addition, it was noted that the agreements reached during well-organized visits and meetings, and the signed joint documents, give enormous impetus to mutually beneficial and friendly relations between countries in various fields.

Intensified cooperation between the two countries in energy, transport and logistics, and industry, including the introduction of new technologies in various sectors, has a positive impact on economic development.

At the end of the meeting, confidence was expressed that Turkmen-Georgian friendly relations and cooperation will reach new heights in the future.

On February 24, 2026, Turkmen delegation led by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, in accordance with the program of their visit to Georgia, took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at Heroes’ Square in Tbilisi in honor of the heroes of  Georgia.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev and khyakims of velayats to consider issues of the agro-industrial sector and the course of work in regions of the country.

Khyakim of Akhal velayat T.Nurmyradov was the first to take the floor and reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As he informed, at present, seasonal activities are carried out in the wheat fields according to agro-technical standards, in particular, top dressing by mineral fertilizers and watering is carried out.

Within preparation for the cotton sowing campaign, levelling, grading and fertilization of fields proceed.

With a view of maintenance of cotton growers with seeds, due measures are taken to select high-quality seeds, repair and maintain agricultural machinery and units to be involved in the sowing campaign.

In addition, within the spring campaign for planting of potato, vegetable, and gourds necessary steps are taken to obtain good growth and to prepare the fields and seeds for sowing other food crops.

The khyakim reported on the course of construction of social, cultural and industrial projects to be commissioned in the velayat, the current year.

Having heard the report, the head of the state focused attention on primary goals set today before the agricultural sector and in that connection, instructed the khyakim to ensure organization of current seasonal work in agricultural fields of the region according to agro-technical standards.

The President of Turkmenistan also instructed him to carry out a control over timely and qualitative construction of the projects planned to open in the velayat during the current year according to programs of social and economic development of the country.

Then, khyakim of Balkan velayat Kh. Ashyrmyradov reported on the course of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As he informed, at present, due care is ensured after the wheat fields, including additional application of mineral fertilizers and watering.

Besides it, the fields are levelled and graded for cotton sowing this year, and seeds and agricultural machinery are prepared for cotton growers for the spring season.

At the same time, planting of potato, vegetables, and gourds proceeds, measures are taken for timely completion of this important campaign.

The khyakim also reported on the course of construction of the projects planned to be commissioned in the region the current year.

Having heard the report, the head of the state pointed out that introduction of science-based approaches and high technologies acts as one of the main conditions of achievement of high indicators in agricultural production and gave the khyakim a number of concrete instructions to that end.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed him to keep due control over the quality and timely fulfilment of work during the current year in the region within the programs of social and economic development of our fatherland.

Then, khyakim of Dashoguz velayat D.Babayev reported on the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As he informed, within preparation for the cotton sowing campaign this year proper activities are carried out to level, harrow fields, apply mineral fertilizers, and irrigate fields. Besides it, due measures are taken to select high-quality cottonseeds suitable for the soil-environmental conditions of the velayat and appropriate storage of agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the forthcoming sowing campaign.

According to tasks set to provide the population in full volume with local food products, ploughing and levelling of fields to be sown with food crops and selection of seeds are also carried out.

Besides it, the khyakim reported on paces of civil work at the construction sites planned to open in the velayat this year within the National rural development program.

Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of proceeding seasonal agricultural campaigns and instructed the khyakim to ensure a constant control over fulfilment of the agro-technical actions carried out in the agricultural fields of the region.

At the same time, he was instructed to keep a control over realisation of the work planned for this year in the velayat within the programs of social and economic development of the country.

Further, khyakim of Lebap velayat D.Genjiyev reported on the state of affairs in agricultural fields of the region.

He informed that, being guided by tasks set for further strengthening the food safety of our fatherland, the wheat fields are fertilized additionally with mineral fertilizers and irrigated at present.

The ploughing of fields to be sown with cotton has nearly finished, levelling, grading and irrigation activities are also carried out. The special attention is given to appropriate preparation of agricultural machinery for the spring campaign and high-quality seeds for cotton growers.

In addition, the planting of potato, vegetables and gourds proceeds in the fields of the region and necessary measures are taken to complete these activities in agro-technical terms.

Besides it, the khyakim reported on the state of affairs at construction sites of various projects planned to place in operation in the velayat this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to ensure a strict observance of agro-technical standards and target terms in field activities in the velayat and appropriate preparation for the spring cotton sowing.

Besides it, the head of the state instructed the khyakim to keep a control over the quality and terms of construction of social, cultural and industrial projects planned to open the current year in the velayat.

Then, khyakim of Mary velayat D.Annaberdiyev reported on the current seasonal agricultural work in the region.

The head of the state also instructed him to keep a control over qualitative fulfilment of civil work at various sites planned to open in the region the current year.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev reported on the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

As he informed, today in the wheat fields of regions according to agro-technical standards, top dressing by mineral fertilizers and irrigation are carried out.

Within the forthcoming cotton sowing campaign, grading and levelling of the agricultural fields as well as irrigation proceed.

At the same time, high-quality seeds for cotton growers are prepared for the season.

Being guided by tasks set to provide the population with sufficient volume of potato, vegetables and gourds, the planting of these crops in regions proceeds.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked the significance of agricultural branch as one of the key spheres, promoting diversification of national economy and maintenance of food abundance in the country. In that regard, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet was instructed to continue work on the further development of this sector according to requirements of time and introduction of digital technologies and the advanced international experience in agriculture.

Then, addressing participants of the working meeting, the head of the state once again underlined the importance of current seasonal work and instructed to carry out proper work in velayats for grading, levelling, harrowing and irrigation of fields to be sown with cotton in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats according to requirements of agro-technical standards and to take necessary measures for timely and sufficient provision of cotton growers with high-quality seeds, full readiness of agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring sowing campaign, continuation of proper care and application of fertilizers in agricultural fields of velayats according to agro-technical standards. Besides it, one should give particular attention to irrigation of shoots of wheat in fields.

The President of Turkmenistan also instructed to conduct campaign for planting of potato, vegetables and gourds in the established agro-technical terms and at due level, prepare seeds and fields for the spring season in Dashoguz velayat, to provide timely settlement of accounts between wheat and cotton growers in velayats and service organisations and the enterprises for their works, and also to take necessary measures for maintenance of quality of work and observance of terms of construction of social, cultural and industrial projects in regions of the country.

At the end of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and big successes in their work.

Within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Parliament of Georgia, a high-level meeting was held between the representatives of the legislative bodies of the two nations, led by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, and the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Sh. Papuashvili.

During the meeting, the parties noted that Turkmen-Georgian cooperation is developing on a regular and systematic basis, covering a wide range of areas of mutual interest. Within this framework, inter-parliamentary cooperation is of particular importance, serving as a vital tool for strengthening mutual understanding and coordinating positions on key issues of the bilateral agenda.

The parties emphasized the dynamic nature of established ties, noting the significant role of high-level visits and annual meetings of inter-parliamentary friendship groups. Discussions focused on legislative initiatives and prospects for joint projects, with an emphasis on improving the work of friendship groups and exchanging experience between specialized committees.

Special attention was paid to establishing contacts between the Group of Young Parliamentarians of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and their peers in the Parliament of Georgia, as well as fostering ties between women parliamentarians. The parties expressed readiness to continue the practice of mutual support for initiatives within the framework of international organizations.

Additionally, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan signed the Book of Honor at the Parliament of Georgia..

The negotiations concluded with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Parliament of Georgia. Both parties expressed confidence that this document will serve as a reliable foundation for the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and the strengthening of bilateral relations.

In order to introduce the international community with the work national interest and carried out by our country on the basis of the principles of the legal status of permanent neutrality, initiatives of  universal significance and strengthening parliamentary relations established between Turkmenistan and Georgia, and official visit of the Turkmen delegation led by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan began on February 23, 2026, to the city of Tbilisi, of the Georgia.  

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan arrived in the United States, where he was warmly welcomed at the international airport of the friendly country.

During his visit to the United States, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Nicklaus Companies John Reese, and representatives of the management team. During the meeting, the current state and prospects for developing bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Expressing his pleasure for meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, John Reese shared warm memories of his visit to Turkmenistan and his impressions of the architectural uniqueness of the capital, Ashgabat, which had harmonious development in all areas.

Thanking for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the high priority of the country on consistently promoting high-performance sport, recreation, and tourism, which Turkmenistan views as a strategic aspect of global sustainable development. After viewing the golf course designs proposed by Nicklaus Companies for Arkadag city and the National Tourist Zone Avaza, the National Leader of the Turkmen People met with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council.

Noting that he was very pleased to see the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the United States of America, Eric Stewart emphasized the great interest of the US business community in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, which has enormous economic potential.

The development of investment dialogue was identified as a key area of interstate cooperation, which will contribute to the expansion and strengthening of the mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States.

As emphasized, for many years, major American companies such as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, CASE, and Nicklaus Companies have been participating in important projects in Turkmenistan.

The Executive Director of the Turkmenistan – USA Business Council emphasized that relevant work continues to establish, expand, and strengthen contacts between economic entities in both countries.

At the end of the meeting, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Executive Director of the Turkmenistan – USA Business Council Eric Stewart exchanged best wishes and expressed confidence in further development of a mutually beneficial, long-term partnership.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan attented the Panther National Golf Club in the USA.

Here, the National Leader of the Turkmen People was warmly welcomed by representatives of the golf club, who explained in detail the construction of the courses and their unique characteristics.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also viewed the Sandhill Crane Golf Club Training Center, which is of great popularity and is one of the most visited destinations since its opening in 1992.

An exhibition of textile products, which are in high demand on the global market, was held there. Among the demonstrations were various types of cotton sportswear. It was pleasing that products of specialized domestic companies with label “Made in Turkmenistan” label were also on display.

Thanking the representatives of the US golf club for the informative meeting and wishing them success, the National Leader of the Turkmen People left for next meeting.

During his visit to the United States, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the La Victoria Equestrian Complex.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan viewed the horses held at the complex and learned about the care and training methods. The National Leader also inquired about the facilities created for preparing horses for competitions and the work schedule of the specialists involved.

During his visit to the United States, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with prominent politicians and business representatives.

There, the National Leader of the Turkmen People was warmly greeted by entrepreneurs Steve Wynn, Isaac Perlmutter, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Oxbow Group William Koch.

Emphasizing that relations between Turkmenistan and the United States are reaching a qualitatively new level in the present time, the National Leader of the Turkmen People acknowledged the effective activities of numerous American companies in the Turkmen market, as well as the great prospects for further comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation.

During his visit to the United States, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with John Reese, President of Nicklaus Companies. The sides discussed relevant issues, agreements reached, and future objectives.

A few hours later, the National Leader of the Turkmen People arrived to Germany and held a working meeting with the relevant leaders.

The working meeting was held based on the Resolution signed by the President of Turkmenistan at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 13 of this year, in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of the Purposeful Heavenly Horses”, and with the aim of further enhancing the worldwide fame of these heavenly horses.

The issues related to ensuring a high level of organization for events to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad in 2026, under the slogan “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses” was discussed at the meeting.

During the working meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Germany B.Rejepov reported on the current state of Turkmen-German relations. It was noted that bilateral cooperation is consistently developing in various areas.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted the importance of ensuring high-level participation and preparation for the FEI World Championship 2026, which will be held from August 11–23, 2026, in Aachen, Germany, and for the Akhal-Teke beauty contest, which will be held in September in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The plane of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov landed at the International Airport of Ashgabat.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system, with a number of public policy issues on the agenda.

The first speaker, Chairwoman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova reported on the progress of modernizing the national legislative framework.

As reported, amendments and additions are currently being made to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Code of Administrative Offenses, laws related to improving the effectiveness of migration policy, fisheries, and the conservation of aquatic biological resources, as well as several other existing legal acts, based on proposals received from ministries and industry agencies and the study of international and national experience.

Furthermore, the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan were received. As part of developing mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries and international organizations, members of the Mejlis participated in working meetings organized by UN agencies jointly with relevant government agencies. Furthermore, a representative of the national parliament traveled to Turkestan (Republic of Kazakhstan) to participate in a seminar organized by the United Nations Population Fund.

Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that, in order to further the country’s development, it is necessary to continue improving national legislation in line with the demands of the times.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov reported on the results of the work carried out to present cash gifts to women of the country on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

As reported, in accordance with the wise and humane state policy, following the age-old tradition of honoring beloved mothers and dear sisters, and in accordance with the relevant Decree of the head of state, the amounts of financial resources proposed to be allocated for these purposes have been determined. In this regard, a draft of the relevant document was submitted to the President of the country for his consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that our country holds dear mothers and women in high regard, creating all the necessary conditions for them. He announced that he had signed an order on the presentation of cash gifts in honor of International Women’s Day. Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Agajanov reported on the measures being implemented to strengthen the material and technical infrastructure of the Türkmennebit State Concern.

As reported, the extensive work being carried out in this area ensures the uninterrupted, coordinated, and reliable operation of the State Concern’s production and technological facilities. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a draft of the relevant document for the President’s consideration.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country is modernizing the material and technical infrastructure of the domestic oil and gas industry. To successfully accomplish the tasks facing this complex, the head of state signed a resolution and sent it digitally to the Deputy Prime Minister, issuing the relevant assignments.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamamedov reported on the work being carried out by the Ministry of Roads to modernize the road transport network, create transport and transit corridors, and build roads and bridges that meet international standards.

As reported, in the modern era, the initiatives of Hero-Arkadag to further improve the social and living conditions of the people are being successfully implemented under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Particular attention is being paid to developing road transport infrastructure in accordance with the demands of the times and increasing Turkmenistan’s transport and transit potential.

Currently, in order to modernize the country’s road construction sector, successfully fulfill the objectives facing this sector, implement transit freight and passenger transportation, and elevate international cooperation in this area to a qualitatively new level, an international tender is planned for the reconstruction of the Ashgabat-Dashoguz highway, which will connect Dashoguz velayat with the capital, as well as new bridges along the entire route.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the consideration of the head of state.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Ashgabat-Dashoguz highway is one of the country’s main highways. Approving the proposal to reconstruct this highway, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N.Atagulyev spoke, reporting on the progress of modernizing the material and technical infrastructure of enterprises under the Ministry of Textile Industry.

As reported, measures are being implemented to ensure the continued efficient operation of factories, increase their production capacity, and create favorable working and living conditions for workers.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the consideration of the head of state.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country is creating all the necessary opportunities for the productive operation of enterprises producing high-quality textile products. Approving the proposal to strengthen the capacity of the production complexes of the Ministry of Textile Industry, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work.

Then, Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova reported on the main events to be held in March of the current year.

As reported, various events and celebrations are planned for the coming month to mark the announcement of the 2026 motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Steeds”, International Women’s Day, and the National Spring Festival. The results of previously announced creative competitions will also be announced, including “Talyp Gözeli”, “Iň Eýjejik Gyzjagaz”, “Zenan – Zeminiň Zynaty”, and “Ýaşlygymyň Bahary”.

In honor of International Women’s Day, women of the country will receive cash gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. Festive events, concerts, an art exhibition, theater performances, and a concert at the Palace of Mukams are planned in the regions and Ashgabat and Arkadag cities.

In March of the current, song and music celebrations dedicated to the National Spring Festival will be held in front of the “Türkmeniň Ak öýi” building in the provinces, in Nowruz ýaýlasy village of Ak Bugdai etrap, Ahal velayat, and at the festival square in Arkadag city. Additionally, the “Dünýäde ýaňlanýar ajap dessanym, toý tutýar Garaşsyz Türkmenistanym” festival, featuring the participation of bakhshies-destanchies, will be held in Daşoguz velayat.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of widely publicizing the events scheduled for March of the current year to mark national holidays. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to properly prepare for the celebrations to be held in honor of International Women’s Day and the National Spring Festival.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mamedov reported on the issue of sending young people to study at higher education institutions in Romania for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Noting the advisability of sending young Turkmen students to universities in a friendly country in such fields as information technology, healthcare and medical sciences, education and pedagogical sciences, agriculture and agricultural sciences, engineering, technology and technical sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the consideration of the head of state.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country is creating extensive opportunities for the younger generation to gain knowledge at prestigious foreign higher education institutions. This helps provide the national economy with highly qualified specialists.

Having approved the proposal to send young people to study at Romanian universities, the head of state addressed the Deputy Prime Minister with relevant instructions.

Then, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on the Partnership Work Plan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for 2026.

As reported, one of the key vectors of our country’s foreign policy is developing cooperation with international organizations, including the OSCE. Our country cooperates with this Organization in the political, economic, humanitarian, and environmental spheres.

This plan includes a number of measures aimed at strengthening peace and security, ensuring sustainable development, expanding humanitarian cooperation, and developing preventive diplomacy. Measures will also be implemented to enhance customs, border, and cyber security, and to address important issues related to economic development and regional economic cooperation, energy efficiency, environmental safety, and climate change. At the same time, work is planned in areas such as science, education, the protection of human rights and freedoms, and the development of the country’s democratic institutions, ensuring gender equality, and improving mass media.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted a corresponding proposal for the head of state’s consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that our country places special emphasis on developing relations with international organizations, including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Having approved the Partnership Work Plan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for 2026, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to carry out the relevant work.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annayev reported on the practical steps taken by the Ministry of Communications to modernize industries based on innovative digital solutions and modern technologies.

As reported, the country is currently undertaking the necessary work to introduce advanced technologies into the economy. Particular importance is placed on developing cooperation with technologically advanced countries, which is intended to facilitate the successful implementation of the Concept for the Development of a Digital System in the country.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the head of state’s consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country is undertaking targeted work to introduce modern technologies into all sectors of the economy. Approving the proposal to strengthen the material and technical base of the Ministry of Communications, the head of state addressed a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard.

A number of other public issues were also discussed at the meeting, and appropriate decisions were made on them.
