Participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the mass bicycle ride on the occasion of the holiday clearly attested to the acknowledgement of consecutive promotion of sports diplomacy by Turkmenistan as one of the important conditions of peace and sustainable development.

The all-round care of prosperous life of people is a priority vector of the state policy of the country. At present, this creative strategy, the foundation of which was laid by National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag, is consistently realised by Arkadagly Hero Serdar. In this connection, the special attention is given to public health care, development of mass physical training and health improvement and popularisation of practice of various sports.

According to the Government program «Saglyk», developed under the leadership of Hero-Arkadag, our country carries out in the given sphere a large-scale work focused on increase of life expectancy of people, encouragement of physical training and sports, strengthening of principles of healthy way of life in society. With these goals, Turkmenistan has constructed and constructs projects of medical, sanatorium and sports infrastructure answering to the international standards.

As a result of the transformations, which are carried out in the sphere of sports under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, modern stadiums, sport centres and other profile objects are regularly put in operation in the country. The capital multipurpose Olympic village can serve the best example for it. It hosted successfully the 2017 V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. A number of other large international competitions were also held there. It is of great importance both for perfection of skill of our sportsmen, and for augmentation of authority of our land on the world scene.

A complex of modern sports objects in Arkadag city, which has been erected in the picturesque foothills of the Kopet Dagh and has no analogue in the region, also attest to fact that the state creates ample opportunities for physical and spiritual perfection of the population, especially the younger generation.

Sports events, including bicycle marathons held regularly in our country on the occasion of World Health Day not only promotes consolidation of principles of healthy way of life in society, but also shows successful realisation of international initiatives of Turkmenistan on development of cycling sports as well as growth of the international authority of our fatherland. And participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in such mass events increases their importance.

Today, the sports diplomacy, which plays an important role in modern international relations, is one of the strategic areas of the foreign policy of our state. Along with development of sports at world level, the activity in the field is aimed at strengthening the peaceful, friendly, brotherly dialogue between the countries and the people. Turkmenistan, which puts forward consecutive initiatives on conduction of large international competitions and mass sports events, is recognised as the state, which effectively uses the diplomatic potential of sports in maintenance of stability in the region and all over the world.

Guided by national and universal interests, our independent neutral fatherland calls for consolidation of the international efforts. Establishment of World Bicycle day in 2018 by the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization at the initiative of Turkmenistan is one of the significant achievements of national sports diplomacy at world level. It is also necessary to point out that in 2022 at the proposal of our country, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the Resolution «Integration of mass bicycle movement into the system of public transport for achievement of sustainable development».

These initiatives visually show that sports serve as an effective tool not only for strengthening physical health, but also for maintenance of universal peace, sustainable development and ecological safety. An active participation of foreign representatives in sports actions held in our country - visible acknowledgement of embodiment of the principle «peace through sports» that promotes enrichment of interstate cultural-humanitarian cooperation by the new maintenance.

… in the morning at the monument "Bicycle" located on the crossing of the avenue of Chandibil and Bekreve street where the bicycle marathon started, participants of the festive event gathered. Among them - chairwoman of the Mejlis, deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet, heads of ministries, branch departments, khyakimlik of Ashgabat city, public organisations, mass media, as well as rectors of higher educational institutions. In the cycling marathon, organised on the occasion of the significant date, heads and representatives of diplomatic representative offices of foreign states accredited in our country and international organisations also took part.

Among the gathered – sportsmen of the national bicycle team of Turkmenistan, students, schoolchildren of the School for training young Olympians and comprehensive schools, schoolchildren of the Palace «Döwletliler köşgi», representatives of the public.

As known, bicycle races are one of the widespread forms of socially significant actions, held in many countries to support social and ecological projects. The number of the citizens, who take part in the annual similar actions, constantly grows in Turkmenistan.

Cycling allows combining physical activity with rest in the open air and is accessible to people of all ages. Regular practice of this sport promote the strengthening of cardiovascular system, increase of general endurance of the organism.

Besides it, cycling promotes in certain degree achievement of goals of sustainable development. In the given context, the initiatives of Turkmenistan on advancement of «green" agenda are organically combined with general efforts, in particular, on struggle against climate change. In that regard, bicycle races are represented as unique example of ecological diplomacy and uniting force of sports.

Sports with its growing role in public life make an essential impact on formation of outlook of the younger generation. Bicycle rides positively influence health and harmonious development of children, and promote their social adaptation.

In Turkmenistan, a huge significance is attached to issues of strengthening health of the rising generation. Our young citizens who needing the state support are surrounded with the special attention and care. Thus, it is necessary to note the large-scale activity of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov created at the initiative of Hero Arkadag.

Having defined consolidation of principles of healthy way of life in society as one of the strategic areas of the state policy, Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar regularly find time for practice of various sports, setting an example to compatriots. All it inspires our sportsmen into victories at international competitions. Their achievements confirm efficiency of the measures adopted in the country in the field, and strengthen the authority of our native land on the world sports arena.

President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov pays priority attention to popularisation of the Olympic movement in our fatherland. Today, Turkmenistan actively uses the peace-making potential of sports not only at the regional, but also at the global scale.

Within international sports cooperation, our state develops constructive relations with the International Olympic Committee, United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace, UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee on Physical Education and Sports, the Olympic Council of Asia. Unanimous election of Turkmenistan as a member of the above-named Intergovernmental committee of UNESCO for 2023-2027 became another acknowledgment of success of national sports diplomacy. And declaration of Ashgabat as the City of new sports possibilities of the Commonwealth is one more recognition of the huge contribution of our fatherland in development of regional interaction in sports.

Celebration of World Health Day widely speaks of the fact that our country has entered into the new stage of integration into the international sports space. The given strategy is aimed at strengthening the "trust dialogue» and consolidation of mutual understanding between cultures by means of sports.

The sports diplomacy realised by Turkmenistan can be characterised as a bright embodiment of well-known words of the founder of the modern Olympic movement Pierre de Coubertin from him «Ode to sports». In this hymn, goals of peace, creation, development, pleasure and principles of healthy way of life as well as spirit of aspiration of the youth to victory are expressed by a phrase:

«O sports! You - peace!»

The motto of the Olympic Games « Faster, Higher, Stronger- together!» confirms that sports are of great importance in strengthening solidarity and friendship between people.

As known, cycling - one of the Olympic sports. In turn, the bicycle is the most non-polluting type of transport. Therefore, choosing it as means of transport, riding and sports practice, the individual not only strengthens health, but also brings his contribution to environmental preservation.

The Turkmen people throughout centuries have generated original traditions of solicitous attitude to nature and life in harmony with it. These principles receive worthy continuation in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state.

Today, noble initiatives of Hero-Arkadag on maintenance of ecological well-being in the country are consistently realised under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Careful preservation of nature – decoration of our fatherland, further improvement of the state of environment and population’s living conditions are defined among state policy priorities.

With a view of maintenance of ecological well-being at the national and global levels, in Turkmenistan the long-term complex national forestry program is successfully realised. In the present period, mass planting of saplings in various corners of the country, including in the capital and its vicinities has become a noble tradition. During the national tree planting actions held during spring and autumn seasons with wide participation of the public, millions saplings are annually planted.

Turkmenistan also increases international cooperation in the field of ecology. Having joined tens of conventions of the United Nations Organization on environment, our country shows a responsible approach to the solution of issues facing the world community in the field of sustainable development.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and regional governors to consider the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.

The floor was given first to the Ahal Velayat Hyakim T.Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal work on the ground.

As reported, mineral fertilizer application and vegetation irrigation are continuing in wheat fields in accordance with agricultural practices.

Ранним утром Национальный Лидер туркменского народа прибыл в штаб-квартиру Благотворительного фонда по оказанию помощи нуждающимся в опеке детям имени Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова, где Героя-Аркадага тепло встретили вице-президенты Фонда О.Атабаева и Р.Базаров. Герою-Аркадагу была представлена подробная информация о реализации масштабных строительных проектов, осуществляемых при поддержке Фонда.

Вице-президент по лечебной деятельности Благотворительного фонда по оказанию помощи нуждающимся в опеке детям имени Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова О.Атабаева проинформировала о работах по модернизации Центра творчества «Jahan» и Государственной детской библиотеки имени Базара Аманова.

Как отмечалось, наряду с модернизацией помещений Государственной детской библиотеки имени Базара Аманова здесь намечено строительство обсерватории с телескопом для научного изучения небесных тел и наблюдения за ними. В Центре творчества «Jahan» предусматривается размещение фитнес-зала, лингафонных кабинетов для изучения иностранных языков и других специализированных учебных классов, открытых и закрытых спортивных залов. Планируется обучение детей основам дизайна и маркетинга. При этом будут предоставлены широкие возможности как для детей, так и для родителей.

В Центре творчества «Jahan» будут функционировать кабинеты различного профиля. Особое внимание уделено утверждению принципов здорового образа жизни, в частности, будут созданы условия для занятий с эластичной лентой, йогой и сайклингом.

Затем вице-президент Благотворительного фонда по оказанию помощи нуждающимся в опеке детям имени Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова Р.Базаров проинформировал о темпах модернизации ашхабадской мечети «Şehitler» на 500 мест, а также строительства и оформления туркменскими специалистами мечети в городе Физули Азербайджанской Республики.

Герой-Аркадаг отметил, что в рамках модернизации столичной мечети был расширен зал для молитв, и подчеркнул необходимость уделить особое внимание качеству строительства и отделочных материалов. При отделочных работах в строящейся в Азербайджанской Республике мечети как символа дружбы и братства важно учитывать мнение местных жителей, продолжил Герой-Аркадаг и дал в этой связи ряд рекомендаций.

Затем Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг провёл здесь рабочее совещание с участием вице-президентов Благотворительного фонда по оказанию помощи нуждающимся в опеке детям имени Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова.

Герою-Аркадагу была представлена информация о текущей деятельности Фонда, работе по оказанию помощи детям, восстановлению их здоровья, а также об отправке гуманитарной помощи в различные страны мира. Сообщалось о подготовке к визиту в Туркменистан опытных врачей из Китайской Народной Республики и профессорско-преподавательского состава медицинских вузов дружественного государства.

Герой-Аркадаг подчеркнул значимость последовательной реализации благородных целей Фонда и приложения усилий для активизации международных связей в данной сфере. Следует наладить обмен опытом с зарубежными партнёрами в области народных методов лечения и прилагать усилия для совершенствования работы действующих в нашей стране санаториев.

Врач Аркадаг указал на целесообразность создания кабинета «Нетрадиционной медицины» в Государственном медицинском университете Туркменистана имени Мырата Гаррыева, организации совместной деятельности в этом направлении с соответствующими структурами и, основываясь на своём богатом опыте, дал ценные рекомендации.

Пожелав успехов в выполнении на высоком уровне всех намеченных работ, Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг отбыл с места события.

Затем Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг прибыл к месту возведения новой мечети города, рассчитанной на 30 тысяч мест и являющейся образцом современной архитектуры.

Герой-Аркадаг ознакомился с проводимыми на прилегающей к мечети территории работами и цветовой гаммой куполов этого величественного здания, считающегося в народе домом Аллаха.

Хаджи Аркадаг отметил, что важно уделять особое внимание как внутреннему и внешнему оформлению мечети, так и благоустройству, поддержанию чистоты на прилегающей территории, дав в этой связи ценные рекомендации.

Затем Герой-Аркадаг ознакомился с проектами объектов второй очереди нового города и вариантами декора современных зданий.

Председатель Государственного комитета по строительству города Аркадаг при Президенте Туркменистана Д.Оразов отчитался о темпах строительства новой мечети с учётом ранее данных Героем-Аркадагом указаний. Также были представлены образцы ковров для намаза, предназначенных для помещений мечети города Аркадаг на 30 тысяч мест.

Хаджи Аркадаг отметил, что на протяжении истории наш народ руководствовался такими принципами, как честность, добросовестность, а также стремлением к духовному самосовершенствованию, подчеркнув важность оформления и подбора цветовой гаммы мечети. Было бы целесообразно выбрать цвет ковра-намазлыка, гармонирующий с обликом города Аркадаг, сказал Хаджи Аркадаг и сделал акцент на необходимости консультаций по этому вопросу с представителями духовенства.

Учитывая значимость мечети, Герой-Аркадаг отметил важность надлежащего подбора отделочных материалов, подчеркнув, что внешнее и внутреннее оформление, система освещения должны отвечать высокому назначению дома Аллаха, почитаемого в исламском мире, и дал в связи с этим рекомендации.

Заслуженный архитектор Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг распорядился уделять особое внимание качеству, прочности и долговечности материалов, используемых при отделке мечети, которая должна составлять единую гармонию с архитектурным обликом нового города. Подчеркнув важность их надёжности, Герой-Аркадаг отметил, что уникальный стиль оформления, мраморной облицовки и других элементов здания должен производить на людей неизгладимое впечатление.

Затем Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг провёл рабочее совещание с участием председателя Государственного комитета по строительству города Аркадаг при Президенте Туркменистана Д.Оразова и хякима города Аркадаг Г.Маммедовой.

Д.Оразов представил подробную информацию о принимаемых мерах для ускорения темпов работ в рамках второй очереди нового города и обеспечения высокого качества строительства с учётом ранее данных Героем-Аркадагом рекомендаций. Отмечалось, что особое внимание уделяется прочности и долговечности стройматериалов.

Подчеркнув, что обеспечение высокого качества строительства и сдача объектов различного назначения в установленные сроки являются первоочередными задачами, Герой-Аркадаг сделал акцент на необходимости держать под постоянным контролем проводимые работы. Большое внимание также следует уделять экологическому аспекту, сказал Герой-Аркадаг.

Хяким города Аркадаг Г.Маммедова проинформировала о ходе подготовки к широко отмечаемому в нашей стране Национальному празднику туркменского скакуна, о результатах деятельности по благоустройству города и об обеспечении слаженной работы соответствующих структур в данном направлении.

Как отметил Герой-Аркадаг, Национальный праздник туркменского скакуна должен быть ознаменован большими торжествами на исконной родине ахалтекинцев, подчеркнув необходимость обеспечения высокого организационного уровня праздничных мероприятий. Следует создать все условия для активного участия в них, наряду с коневодами, жителей города.

Затем Национальный Лидер туркменского народа прибыл к месту строительства ещё одного здания – хякимлика города Аркадаг. Отметив, что, как и в зданиях производственного и социального назначения, оснащение административных объектов города должно отвечать современным требованиям, Заслуженный архитектор Туркменистана Герой-Аркадаг подчеркнул необходимость создания всех условий для проведения мероприятий и встреч, эффективной работы журналистов, а также внедрения инновационных цифровых систем, дав в этой связи рекомендации.

На заседании, проведённом 4 апреля 2026 года в Меджлисе Туркменистана, посвящённом итогам работы за январь-март года «Независимый нейтральный Туркменистан – Родина целеустремлённых крылатых скакунов», была обсуждена осуществлённая деятельность по совершенствованию национального законодательства нашей страны и определены предстоящие задачи. 

На заседании было отмечено о задачахм, поставленными нашим Уважаемым Президентом Аркадаглы Сердаром по продолжению подготовки новых законопроектов, совершенствованию действующего законодательства и приведению его в соответствие с общепризнанными нормами международного права, а также на основе предложений, представленных министерствами и органами государственного управления в рабочих группах, созданных в Меджлисе в течение отчетного периода, работе по разработке законопроектов, направленных на реализацию прав и законных интересов граждан, обеспечение промышленной безопасности производственных объектов, совершенствование бухгалтерского учета и финансовой отчетности предприятий, учреждений и организаций, развитие предпринимательства, охрану окружающей среды, и водных биологических ресурсов, дальнейшее повышение эффективности деятельности миграционной и таможенной служб, а также в ряде других отраслей.

Также было отмечено, что для обеспечения высокого уровня организации выборов, состоявшихся 29 марта текущего года, по выборов депутатов Меджлиса Туркменистана, досрочно выбывших, членов велаятских, этрапских, городских халк маслахаты и Генгешей, совместно с Центральной избирательной комиссией, представителями политических партий, общественных объединений нашей страны была оказана организационно-методическая помощь в разъяснении значения данного общественно-политического мероприятия и избирательного законодательства.

В выступлениях на заседании подчеркивалась важность дальнейшего развития плодотворных отношений с международными организациями и парламентами стран мира, поддержки миролюбивой, гуманитарной политики позитивного нейтралитета нашей страны посредством парламентской дипломатии, а также по доведению до мирового сообщества.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the work carried out in the country for three months of the current year, was summed up.

Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on results of the activity for the January-March period of 2026, was the first to take the floor at the meeting.

In this connection, she informed that at present, working groups prepare the bills aimed at realisation of the rights and legal interests of citizens, maintenance of industrial safety of dangerous industrial objects, perfection of accounting and financial reporting in enterprises, establishments and organisations, development of entrepreneurship activity, preservation of the environment and water biological resources, increase of the work of migration and customs services as well as other legal acts concerning various spheres.

With a view of maintenance of a high level of the elections of members of the Khalk Maslakhaty in newly created etraps of velayats of the country as well as deputies who discontinued their membership of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan ahead of schedule, members of velayat, etrap and city Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengesh held on March 29 of the current year, national members of the parliament together with representatives of political parties, public associations took an active part in actions for explanation of significance of this important political action and electoral legislation and organizational and methodical aid.

In addition, the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad were received. During the considered period 8 meetings with representatives of parliaments of different countries, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, in which priorities of bilateral cooperation were discussed, were held. Besides it, deputies and specialists of the Mejlis took part in 26 seminars on improvement of the legislative activity, held by corresponding ministries and sectoral departments of the country together international structures. With a view to explore the advanced experience, deputies made 5 business trips abroad.

In the specified period, the conference devoted to the inter-parliamentary dialogue on advancement of gender equality and strengthening of its legislative framework was also held. The forum was organised by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan together with the UN Population Fund. Online video meetings were held with women-members of the parliament of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and parliamentary groups of friendship created at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the State Great Khural of Mongolia were held.

Summing up the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that an efficient work is carried out to strengthen the legal basis of the state. In that regard, the head of Turkmenistan emphasised the significance of modernisation of legislation of the country according to requirements of the time.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Kh.Geldimyradov reported on macroeconomic indicators for the first quarter of the current year

As he informed, during the considered period, the rate of increase of GDP made up 6,3 percent, including this indicator in the industrial complex made up 2,4 percent, in construction sector - 6 percent, in transport and communication sector - 10,3 percent, trade - 8,3 percent, agriculture - 2,4 percent, in the sphere of services - 8,3 percent.

In the January-March period of the current year, the volume of production in comparison to the similar period of the past year grew by 10,4 percent. In all sectors of economy, positive industrial indicators were reached.

In the specified period, retail goods turnover as compared with the same period of the past year increased by 10,4 percent, and foreign trade turnover - 3,7 percent.

For the January-March period, the plan of the revenues part of the state budget was fulfilled by 102,3 percent, and expenditures part - 97,2 percent.

In the official institutions financed at the expense of the budget and self-financing, salaries were paid as well as pensions, welfare payments and scholarships of students were allotted in due time.

As compared with the corresponding period of the past year, in the specified period, the volume of capital investments made at the expense of all sources of financing, increased by 5,3 percent.

He also reported on the work fulfilled for the January-March period of 2026 within realisation of the national rural redevelopment program, in particular, on the course of construction of different projects.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the importance of consecutive improvement of the activity of economic, financial and bank complexes. In this connection, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to take the further measures aimed at maintenance of stable dynamics of growth of GDP as well as to hold the rational and target use of budgetary funds under strict control.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet G.Agajanov reported on results of the work carried out for the January-March period of the current year on increase in oil and gas production, expansion of routes of their export to world market.

As he reported, the plan for oil production by "Türkmennebit" State Concern was fulfilled by 106,9 percent.

In the specified period, fulfilment of the plan for oil refining at oil refining factories made up 108,7 percent, gasoline manufacture - 119 percent, diesel fuel - 111,8 percent, polypropylene - 100 percent, lubricant oils - 100,4 percent, liquefied gas - 126,7 percent, production of natural and accompanying gas - 107,5 percent.

Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the necessity to carry out further the corresponding work on oil and gas production and increase in volumes of their export. The head of the state also instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to take the measures aimed at effective use of capacities of the complex on a constant basis, and to continue prospect drilling.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev reported on the outcome of the activity for the January-March period of the current year and course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in velayats of the country.

As he informed, the rate of increase of volumes of output of production in the agricultural branch as compared to the similar period of the past year made up 106 percent. By the Ministry of Agriculture this indicator was equal to 103,7 percent, by the Ministry of the Environmental Protection - 106,8 percent, by the State Water Economy Committee - 103,8 percent, by "Türkmenpagta" State Concern - 103 percent, State Association «Türkmengallaönümleri» - 111,9 percent, State Association «Türkmenobahyzmat» - 100,1 percent, State Food Processing Industry Association - 110,6 percent, State Cattle Breeding and Poultry Farming Industry Association - 100,4 percent, State Association «Türkmen atlary» - 100,1 percent. The plan for investments was executed by 168,1 percent.

At the same time, he reported that at present, seasonal agricultural campaigns proceed, due care is provided after wheat fields, in particular, the cotton sowing activities continue. Practical steps are also taken to involve the full potential of machinery and equipment used in the spring sowing campaign and in care of agricultural crops.

Besides it, corresponding measures are implemented to increase in volumes of cultivation of potato, vegetables and gourds and to provide the population with given species of production in sufficient volume. The proper work is carried out to plant spring agricultural crops and ensure due care of them.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked that one should hold enhancement and improvement of the quality of manufacture in agriculture in the centre of constant attention. In addition, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to ensure realisation of seasonal agricultural work and effective conduction of the lambing campaigns in cattle-breeding economies actively and according to agro-technical standards.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annamammedov reported on the activity of the subordinate complex for the January-March period of 2026.

As he informed, the plan for production and work for the specified period was executed by the complex by 128, 2 percent.

This indicator by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture made up 105,6 percent, by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production - 128,5 percent and by the Ministry of Energy - 104,7 percent.

The plan for work by the Ministry of Motor Roads was fulfilled by 111,4 percent, by "Türkmenhimiýa" State Concern - 152,7 percent and by the khyakimlik of Ashgabat city - 116,4 percent.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet the instruction concerning increase in volumes of output in the building-industrial complex, strengthening and modernizing of the material and technical basis of the power energy sector, modernisation of highways of the country.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet N.Atagulyev reported on the outcome of work for the January-March period of this year in subordinate ministries and sectoral departments and the private sector.

By the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations as compared with the similar period of the past year, the rate of increase of trade turnover was equal to 108,3 percent, production - 101,4 percent.

As compared to the same period of the past year, the rate of increase of production by the Ministry of Textile Industry reached 103,3 percent, including the rate of increase of release of cotton yarn made up 101,5 percent, cotton fabric - 102,9 percent, tanning products - 105,9 percent.

The plan for production by «Türkmenhaly» State Association was executed by 111,4 percent.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange for the accounting period held 72 trading sessions, at which it registered 7 thousand 132 contracts.

The rate of increase of the executed works by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the January-March period of 2026 made up 115,7 percent. 2 exhibitions and 5 conferences were held in the considered period.

By the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the rate of increase of manufacture of agricultural and food production reached 107,6 percent, industrial - 106 percent.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that one should hold maintenance of markets and shops of the country with food produces and other demanded products in the centre of constant attention. In that regard, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out necessary work on increase in assortment and volumes of the products, manufactured by textile enterprises, and consistently to improve the activity of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Seyidova reported on results of the activity of the subordinate complex for the January-March period of the current year.

As she reported, during the considered period, various events on the occasion of the motto of 2026 «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers», 35th anniversary of independence of our fatherland, holidays and significant dates of the national calendar were held.

In honour of International Women's Day various forums, exhibitions, song and musical events were organised. At theatres, plays «Artistic image of women in theatrical art», at cinemas and film concert centres - Turkmen films and festive concerts were displayed.

Large-scale festive events were devoted to the national holiday of spring - International Day of Novruz. The major event was held in the locality «Nowruz ýaýlasy» in the Ak bugday etrap.

In March, in Dashoguz velayat the festival «Dünýäde ýaňlanýar ajap dessanym, toý tutýar Garaşsyz Türkmenistanym» was held with participation of dastan bagshys.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, a festive event was held in Arkadag city, song and musical programs of workers of art and culture were organised.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the importance of due preparation and maintenance of a high level of the events planned for this year, the motto of which is «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers». The head of the state also instructed the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet to continue work on development of international cultural cooperation and exploration of cultural heritage and restoration of historical and cultural monuments.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet of Turkmenistan B.Mammedov reported on results of the activity of subordinated structures for the January-March period of the current year.

As he informed, in the specified period work on education of perfect persons, modernisations of educational activity was conducted. With a view to discover the talented youth, along with the subject Olympiads, according to time realities on a regular basis competitions in robotics, scientific-creative projects are organised. The V open international Internet Olympiad in disciplines «Resistance of materials» and «Theoretical mechanics», VI Open international mathematical Olympiad were also held. Schoolchildren and student youth won 410 medals in international subject and Internet Olympiads.

During the considered period, complex measures were implemented to increase the scientific potential of the country and practical efficiency of research activity, introduction of innovative solutions in the sector of economy.

In the first quarter of the current year, in treatment and prophylactic establishments work on application of methods based on the advanced experience of prevention and treatment of diseases and innovative technologies in applied medicine continued.

At the expense of funds of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, various operations and treatment of sick children were performed. By the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the «National strategy of development of the scientific-medical diplomacy for 2026-2052 in Turkmenistan” was approved and strategic vectors of international cooperation in this sphere were outlined.

In the specified period, measures were realised to develop physical culture and sports, international cooperation in this area. Sportsmen displayed good results in international competitions and won 123 medals.

On the occasion of the motto of the current year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers» scientific-practical conferences, various actions were organised.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the importance of conduction of productive work in the field of science, education, public health services and sports, wide use of possibilities of digital system in higher educational institutions and high schools, organisation of international competitions and Olympiads among schoolchildren and students.

The head of the state also instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to improve the activity of the sphere of public health services on a constant basis, to carry out corresponding work with a view of popularisation of the healthy way of life among the youth.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on results of the activity of the Ministry for the January-March period of the current year.

As he marked, in the specified period, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs realised concrete steps with a view of implementation of the foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, fulfilment of goals and instructions of the head of the state to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations of our independent, permanent neutral fatherland with countries of the world and the international organisations.

As known, in development of international cooperation, a great significance is attached to visits and summits. It was in this connection informed that in February of this year the visit of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag to the United States of America, and in March – to the People’s Republic of China took place.

At present, the national diplomatic service together with foreign policy departments of different states conducts corresponding work on the organisation of visits to foreign countries of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag in 2026.

Development of interaction with authoritative international organisations acts as one of the important areas of the foreign policy strategy of our fatherland. In this connection, the visit of the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to our country on March 17-19 and – visit of the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on January 21-23 took place.

During the accounting period, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs our state was visited in general by 158 foreign delegations, 265 delegations were sent from Turkmenistan abroad.

For the January-March period of this year, 122 online meetings of various levels were held. 520 official negotiations and meetings in Turkmenistan together with foreign states and international organisations were also organized. The contract-legal basis of the international relations of our country was replenished with 30 documents.

As he reported, corresponding work is carried out to carry out political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country and foreign policy departments of other states. So, during the considered period, political consultations at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Austrian Republic, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the People’s Republic of China took place.

Besides it, in the specified period, negotiations with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Secretary General of International Maritime Organization were carried on.

Along with it, in the January-March period, consultations of foreign policy departments of the Republic of India, Kingdom of Morocco, the Russian Federation, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of Zimbabwe, the Azerbaijan Republic and Republic of Uganda were held.

One more important vector of the foreign policy activity of neutral Turkmenistan is development of diplomatic relations through embassies of foreign countries.

Due work was also carried out to strengthening relations with countries of the Near East. In the given context, he informed that during the accounting period, in our country diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Iraq started to work.

For the January-March period of 2026, credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to Turkmenistan were received.

Along with it, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Thailand as well as permanent representatives of Turkmenistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and International Renewable Energy Agency, who have officially started their duties, handed their credentials.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan realises the foreign policy aimed at maintenance of general well-being and consistently develops equal rights and mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries and international organisations. In this connection, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs to continue work on expansion of relations in political-diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural-humanitarian and scientific-educational spheres with countries of the world and region.

As he informed, the rate of increase of the executed work and rendered services in the transport-communication complex made up 114,1 percent.

The rate of increase of cargo transportation, which was carried out by means of automobile, railway, air, sea and river transport, reached 102,7 percent, and passenger transportation - 102,9 percent.

For the considered period, the rate of increase of the rendered services by the Ministry of Railway Transport reached 106,9 percent, by the Ministry of Motor Transport - 125 percent, by Public Service «Türkmenhowaýollary» - 117,4 percent, by Public Service of Marine and River Transport - 108,3 percent and by the Ministry of Communications - 114 percent.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that the transport-communication complex is one of the key sectors of economy. In that connection, an emphasis was made on the necessity of adoption of proper measures to increase the volume of passenger and cargo transportation. The head of the state also instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to continue introduction of system of interdepartmental exchange by the electronic data and to use fully the potential of International seaport of Turkmenbashi.

Then, addressing members of the Cabinet, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with satisfaction stated that following the results of the work executed for three months of the current year, good indicators were reached, the programs aimed at development of the country are successfully realised, transformations in all branches of economy are effectively realised and industrial sectors are consistently modernised.

As the head of the state noted, the rate of increase of GDP in the specified period made up 6,3 percent.

At the same time, in Turkmenistan construction of large industrial projects, new settlements, apartment houses, schools, kindergartens and other objects proceeds, the head of the state said and noticed that one should carry out an effective work aimed at the further development of the country, realisation of the adopted programs.

Further, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that on April 7, Turkmenistan will mark World Health Day widely. The country attaches a great significance to development of sports and wide introduction of principles of active way of life in society.

Taking an opportunity, the head of the state warmly congratulated participants of the meeting and his nation with World Health Day.
