The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of issues of state life were considered.

Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the legislation activity carried out by the parliament, was the first to take the floor.

As she informed, proceeding from programs of social and economic development of the country and generally adopted standards of international law, at present, working groups prepare the bills connected with perfection of civil-law relations and electoral system, protection of the rights, freedom and legitimate interests of the individual, scientific intellectual property, virtual assets and customs issues.

At the same time, consistently interaction with authoritative international organisations and parliaments of foreign states is developed. It was in this connection informed that the credentials from newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania were received. During the period under consideration, meetings with Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Armenia in our country, members of the Turkmen-Iranian inter-parliamentary group of friendship also took place.

She also informed on the working trip of the delegation under the leadership of the Chairwoman of the Mejlis to the city of Beijing of the People’s Republic of China. During the visit, a number of meetings, at which priority areas of cooperation between two countries were discussed, were held.

In this connection, the head of national Parliament expressed warm gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for possibility of realisation of the given business trip.

Summing up the information, head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out the importance to provide for the bills demanded by time in development of laws and in the given context to continue work on improvement of laws.
