On August 26, 2017, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution to become a member of the Parliamentary Union and to establish a National Parliamentary Group consisting of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan in the Parliamentary Union of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

Composition of the National Parliamentary Committee in the Parliamentary Union of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan:

Gulmanova Dunyagozel Akmuhammedovna ‒ the Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Head of Group;

Rozyyev Gahryman Ovlyakuliyevich – the Deputy Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan;

Eshayev Yusupguly Ashyrgulyyevich ‒ Head of the Committee for protection of human rights and freedoms;

Baylyyev Batyr Orazdurdyyevich – Head of the Committee for legislation and norms;

Muhamedow Begmurat Rahmangulyyevich – Head of the Committee for international and inter-parliamentary communications;

Atayeva Enejan Meredovna ‒ member of the Committee for international and inter-parliamentary communications.
