On March 31, 2026 in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan was held the conference entitled «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses»: the role of women in modern society». This conference thanks to the tireless efforts of our Esteemed President and under the wise leadership of our Esteemed Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag, is called upon to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, promoting the peace-loving, humane state policy of our country and further enhance the international prestige of our state.
The conference was attended by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, women leaders of the United Nations structural divisions in our country, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Turkmenistan, as well as women working in various spheres.
Speakers at the conference highly praised the efforts of our Hero Arkadag and Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, aimed at caring for women, further strengthening their role in society, and respecting women and mothers. They noted that this is one of the main priorities of state policy. As a clear illustration, they highlighted the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of our Arkadagly Hero Serdar in all spheres of public and political life. Also during the conference, participants exchanged views on strengthening the role of women in public administration, public and political life, creating conditions for their full realization of their abilities in science, education and creative activity, the protection of family values, motherhood and childhood, strengthening the important role of women in educating future generations in the spirit of patriotism, as well as the role of women in modern society.
At the conference were discussed the opportunities created in our country within the framework of multilateral structures, support for motherhood and childhood, the humanitarian policy carried out by the state, as well as issues of increasing international cooperation carried out in this area with the effectiveness of UN agencies such as UNESCO, UNICEF and other organizations, thanks to the efforts of our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero Arkadag in the year of «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses».
It was noted that the exemplary work of the Charitable Foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship in solving humanitarian problems has received international recognition.
During the conference, participants emphasized the enormous importance of disseminating information to the global community through parliamentary diplomacy about the work our country is doing to protect women’s rights and interests, support families, strengthen women’s status in society, expand their educational, medical and economic opportunities and further develop international cooperation in this area.
The conference participants wished continued success to our country’s internal and external policy, based on the principles of goodwill, humanism and peacefulness, as well as good health and longevity to our Esteemed President and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and great achievements of our country for the benefit of the country and humanity.
