On March 27, 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the current visit of the ECO Secretary General to Ashgabat includes participation in the International Conference “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan”. This forum is designed to reveal the tourism opportunities of our country and expand the geography of international cooperation in this area.

Having wished Kh.Noziri fruitful participation in the conference and meaningful negotiations within its framework, the head of state expressed confidence that the results of the visit will contribute to the development of traditional cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ECO, including in the above-mentioned area.

Continuing the meeting, an interested exchange of views took place on the prospects for multifaceted interaction between Turkmenistan and the ECO. It was noted that the positive experience of joint work accumulated over the past years serves as a reliable basis here.

In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that, advocating further intensification of productive cooperation within the Organization, our country seeks to contribute to increasing the efficiency of the activities of this multilateral structure. The energy sector was named one of the priority areas. Possessing huge reserves of natural gas, our country is ready to significantly diversify its supplies, including to consumers and transit countries in the ECO space.

Transport was identified as another important vector of interaction. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the ECO to take a more active role in realizing the transit opportunities of our country, using such transport corridors as North-South and East-West.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri, reaffirming the commitment of Turkmenistan and the Economic Cooperation Organization to traditional constructive dialogue, expressed confidence in the further progressive development of fruitful interaction that meets the goals of common well-being.

On March 27, 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the International Conference “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan”.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of the forum and expressed confidence that the bilateral meetings held during the current visit would serve to further expand cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN World Tourism Organization.

The head of the largest international organization, taking the opportunity, conveyed words of greeting to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as wishes of peace, prosperity and new successes on the chosen path to the entire Turkmen people.

During the subsequent conversation, which took place in a businesslike, constructive manner, the current state and prospects for the development of traditional cooperation that meets mutual interests were discussed.

As noted, our country is currently paying special attention to the development of the tourism industry. Natural and climatic conditions and great historical and cultural potential, rich national traditions and original customs, as well as new and high-quality infrastructure are the main factors in the development of national tourism.

It was noted that another important area of the national economy of Turkmenistan is the health, treatment and sanatorium-resort sector. In all corners of the country, the number of specialized facilities and the range of services provided in them are growing, which create favorable conditions for recreational tourism.

In this regard, it was emphasized that our country continues to intend to develop sustainable tourism, the goals of which coincide with the Sustainable Development Goals, to achieve socio-economic progress and ensure environmental well-being.

K.Omuraliev expressed sincere gratitude for the time allocated for the meeting and the opportunity to take part in the events on the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. In this regard, it was emphasized that the Organization attaches special importance to strengthening productive cooperation with our country, which has observer status in the Organization of Turkic States.

The President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he was glad to welcome the head of the Organization to the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land, who took part in the events held the day before on the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.

The further development of effective and constructive relations with the Turkic states occupies an important place in the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized. One of the striking examples of this is the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, successfully held on March 11–12 in Ashgabat, at which agreements were reached and proposals were voiced to serve as a guideline for the further development of cooperation within the Organization.

It was also noted that the admission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan to the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Countries in the future would make it possible to effectively use this platform for the development of economic partnership between the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.

One of the topics of discussion was the celebration in our country of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, whose works are the property of the entire Turkic world. As noted, in this regard, numerous events are planned aimed at studying and disseminating the literary heritage of the great Turkmen poet.

As part of the interested exchange of views on the prospects for interaction in the OTS space, taking into account its solid potential, it was noted that expanding the range of programs and projects in various fields, and primarily in education, science and culture, will serve to successfully promote mutually beneficial interstate partnership, filling it specific content.

Сегодня на территории этрапа Ак бугдай Ахалского велаята Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана Гурбангулы Бердымухамедов принял участие в открытии новой мечети, где Хаджи Аркадаг дал садака-агзачар. Глубокий смысл заключён в том, что нынешнее открытие приходится на месяц Ораза и дополняет культурно-массовые мероприятия по случаю провозглашения города Анау культурной столицей тюркского мира в 2024 году. Это – яркое свидетельство преемственности образцовых исконных традиций и гуманистических принципов нашего народа. 

Возведение в этрапе Ак бугдай новой мечети благодаря успешной реализации в стране под руководством Президента Сердара Бердымухамедова благородных начинаний, инициированных Героем-­Аркадагом, является подтверждением того, что в настоящее время и благие дела достойно продолжаются. Это символизирует приверженность нашего трудолюбивого народа добрым традициям, передаваемым из поколения в поколение. Мероприятия по случаю празднования славных событий демонстрируют, что наша страна следует по пути гармоничного развития по всем направлениям, а ценности, созданные нашим народом, признаны во всём мире. 

Хаджи Аркадаг прибыл на территорию новой мечети. Здесь Национального Лидера туркменского народа встретили муфтий страны, члены Совета старейшин Халк Маслахаты Туркменистана и Совета старейшин, созданного при бла­готворительном фонде по оказанию помощи нуждающимся в опеке детям имени Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова, уважаемые представители старшего поколения. 

Поздравив собравшихся со знамена­тельными событиями, имеющими важное значение в жизни Отчизны, Герой-Аркадаг подчеркнул, что совпадение открытия новой мечети с проводимыми мероприя­тиями международного значения имеет глубокий смысл. 

Как отмечалось, в структуру комплекса входят специальное здание для садака и осуществления обрядов, а также другие сооружения. При возведении мечети, в архитектурном воплощении которой ор­ганично сочетаются исконные традиции национального зодчества и современный опыт, были использованы высококачественные строительные и декоративные материалы. Прилегающая к объекту тер­ритория благоустроена. 

Хаджи Аркадаг вошёл в новую мечеть вместе с участниками торжества. 

Как во внешнем оформлении мечети, так и в её внутренней отделке использованы такие ценные материалы, как мрамор и гранит. Особое место в декоре мечети занимают надписи, запечатлевшие суры из Священного Корана. 

Выйдя из мечети, Хаджи Аркадаг вручил муфтию Туркменистана от имени Аркадаглы Хаджи Сердара ключи от автотранспортных средств, предназначенных для нового комплекса. 

От имени участников торжества муфтий выразил Хаджи Аркадагу и Аркадаглы ­Хаджи Сердару глубокую признательность за проявляемую заботу о сохранении исконных духовно-нравственных ценностей народа. 

Затем Хаджи Аркадаг вместе с участни­ками торжества проследовал в помещение, предназначенное для садака. 

Здесь Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, Председатель Халк Мас­лахаты Туркменистана Гурбангулы Бердымухамедов выступил по случаю знаменательного события.

Поприветствовав собравшихся, Хаджи Аркадаг сказал, что в этот благословенный день священного месяца Ораза мы участвуем в садака-агзачар в новой мечети города Анау. 

Как отметил Герой-Аркадаг, возводить дороги, мосты и мечети считается у туркмен благим делом. Данное культовое сооружение, строительство которого было заложено в первые дни вступления Аркадаглы Сердара на пост главы государства, отвечает современным требованиям. 

Как писал Махтумкули Фраги: «Remezan diýerler aýyň ýagşysyn». Поэтому весьма символично, что открытие новой мечети пришлось на месяц Ораза нынешнего года, ознаменованного торжествами по случаю 300-летия поэта и мыслителя. Само мероприятие демонстрирует преемственность традиций наших мудрых предков – совершать добрые дела в благословенные дни и почитать святыни, продолжил Герой-Аркадаг. 

Город Анау вот уже много столетий привлекает внимание мирового научного сообщества. Он объявлен культурной столицей тюркского мира в 2024 году, и по случаю этого славного события организована церемония старта тематических мероприятий. Для участия в ней прибыли многочисленные гости, отметил Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, подчеркнув, что открытие в эти насыщенные событиями дни новой современной мечети на священной земле Анау, сочетающей в своём облике и древние традиции, и современные тенденции в области архитектуры, наглядно проявляет приверженность священным обязанностям. 

Общая площадь культового сооружения составляет 6 гектаров, и здесь могут одновременно молиться 500 человек. Высота каждого из четырёх минаретов 50 метров, купола – 30 метров, что символизирует длительность месяца по дням, а 24 окна, расположенных по основанию купола – продолжительность суток. Установленные в мечети и помещении для проведения садака на 500 мест светильники выполнены в форме пшеничных колосьев, как и узоры под куполом и на стенах сооружения. Это указывает, что Анау является родиной пшеницы «ak bugdaý» и очагом зарождения земледельческой культуры, отметил Хаджи Аркадаг. 

Заострив внимание на цветовом решении орнаментов внутри мечети и помещения при ней, которое идентично цветам изображений на мечети Сейита Джемалетдина, Герой-Аркадаг подчеркнул, что на стенах новой мечети имеются октаграммы – символ родоначальника Огузхана, а в верхней части её михраба расположена подсвеченная большая надпись зелёного цвета на арабском языке «Alla». Символика времён Огузхана также послужила прообразом орнаментов на коврах в мечети и помещении для проведения садака. 

Туркмены – народ, который охраняет и оберегает свои национальные традиции и обычаи, культурные ценности, неотъемлемой частью которых является исламская религия. Её роль значительна в деле воспитания в духе честности, гуманизма и благородства, она призывает быть добродетельными. В ближайшие дни по случаю Гадыр гиджеси священного месяца Ораза в регионах страны откроются такие же новые мечети, где будут возносить молитвы, продолжил Хаджи Аркадаг. 

Как отметил Герой-Аркадаг Гурбангулы Бердымухамедов, государство оказывает большую поддержку тем, кто намеревается совершить хадж. Ежегодно тысячи наших соотечественников отправляются на паломничество в святые места, а также соблюдают пост, дают садака-агзачар и читают молитвы в месяц Ораза. В Туркменистане на государственном уровне отмечаются священные праздники Ораза и Курбан байрам. 

Да осуществит Всемогущий Аллах ваши добрые помыслы и намерения и да поможет вам в благих деяниях в интересах государства и общества, пожелал Хаджи Аркадаг и обратился к муфтию Туркменистана прочитать молебен «tebärek». 

Затем участникам садака-агза­чар, являющегося одним из обрядов священного месяца Ораза, были поданы блюда национальной кухни. Собравшиеся выразили признательность Герою-Аркадагу и Аркадаглы Герою Сердару за прилагаемые усилия по сохранению образцовых благородных принципов, созданных нашим народом. Д

алее муфтий Туркменистана прочитал аят-товир, вознеся молитвы о принятии Всевышним данных в священный месяц Ораза садака, о ниспослании крепкого здоровья и долголетия Герою Аркадагу и главе государства Сердару Бердымухамедову, проявляющим неустанную заботу о благополучии страны и счастливой жизни нашего народа. 

Обращаясь к участникам садака-агзачар, Хаджи Аркадаг пожелал, чтобы Всевышний принял все данные садака и прочитанные молитвы. 

Затем Национальный Лидер туркменского народа предложил за чашкой чая обсудить ряд важных вопросов. Как отмечалось, в древности Анау считался процветающим краем. Ныне эта священная земля, где впервые зародилась земледельческая культура, вновь переживает расцвет.

Руины сооружения, именуемого в народе мечеть Сейита Джемалетдина, как известно, находятся на юге Анау. Надпись на портале мечети указывала на имя правителя Хорасана (1446– 1457 гг.) – султана Абул-Касима Бабура и гласила: «Случилась эта постройка во время царствования султана великого, владыки своих народов, убежища стран и века Абул-Касим Бабура Бахадур-хана, да увековечит Всевышний его власть и его царство». В других надписях приводились сведения о том, что «дом красоты» построил на свои средства визирь правителя Хорасана Мухаммед в 1455–1456 годах в память о своём отце Джемал-ад-дунья-ва-д-дине, продолжил Хаджи-Аркадаг. 

Историки подтверждают, что Сейит Джемалетдин был выдающимся исламским учёным-бого­словом, за что удостоился титула «украшение мира и религии», отметил учёный Аркадаг, сделав акцент на бытующих среди народа разных легендах о мечети Анау, построенной из великолепного обожжённого кирпича. 

Данное сооружение, имевшее превосходную полихромную кера­мическую декорацию, выходило на просторный парадный двор. Квадратный зал пролётом 10,5 метра был перекрыт куполом. В толще южной стены зала находился украшенный изразцами михраб. По сторонам от него были узкие ниши с выходами наружу. 

Отметив, что наибольшую ценность и художественное своеобразие имела декорация мечети, ­Хаджи Аркадаг заострил внимание на великолепных изображени­ях над аркой двух извивающихся драконов, головы которых обра­щены друг к другу. Изображение драконов на фасаде не имеет ана­лога в декорации архитектурных памятников Центральной Азии, что отмечается и историками, и этнографами. 

Как подчеркнул учёный Аркадаг, существует легенда о тех самых драконах. Так, однажды, в пору правления справедливой и мудрой царицы, люди услышали громкий и тревожный звон колокола. Со­бравшись у ворот, они увидели, что колокол сотрясал огромный дракон. 

При этом он словно указывал то в сторону гор, то на двух мастеров с топорами и пилами, стоявших в толпе. Царица приказала мастерам следовать за драконом, который стал удаляться в горы. 

Там они увидели другого драко­на, который испытывал страшные муки: он проглотил горного коз­ла, рога которого застряли в его глотке. Отважные мастера вошли в раскрытую пасть, перепилили рога и разрубили на части тушу козла, освободив дракона от мучений. 

Тогда первый дракон привёл мастеров в пещеру, полную сокровищ, и позволил им набрать их столько, сколько они могли унести. На следующий день жителей снова разбудил звон колокола. Выйдя, они увидели обоих драконов, которые принесли золото и много драгоцен­ных камней. Сложив всё это у ног царицы, они удалились в горы. 

Царица приказала на эти дра­гоценности построить большую мечеть и на её портале изобразить дарителей – драконов. По легенде, драконы были покровителями жителей Анау, завершил пересказ легенды учёный Аркадаг. 

Как сказал Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, в его книге «Туркменистан – сердце Великого шёлкового пути» подчёркивается, что мечеть Сейита Джемалетдина была разрушена Ашхабадским землетрясением в 1948 году. Под руинами тогда оказались и фрагменты декора, которые более полувека пролежали под землёй. 

Лишь в годы независимости отечественным специалистам удалось достать из-под развалин и по крупицам восстановить фрагменты великолепного произведе­ния изобразительного искусства, созданного нашими предками, отметил Хаджи Аркадаг, подчеркнув, что отреставрированные декоративные элементы мечети Сейита Джемалетдина выставлены в Музее изобразительных искусств Туркменистана. Научный анализ изображений на мечети Сейита Джемалетдина в Анау подтверждает, что они имеют сходство с китайским изобразительным ис­кусством. 

– Ряд учёных предполагает, что это сходство свидетельствует о существовании в Средневеко­вье активных контактов между туркменскими и китайскими мастерами. Конечно, тогда этому процессу способствовал Великий шёлковый путь, через который мастера добирались до Китая, а китайские – приезжали в наш солнечный край, чтобы посетить славные города на туркменской земле и обменяться опытом, – от­метил учёный Аркадаг. 

Оглядываясь в прошлое, можно сказать, что туркмено-китайские узы дружбы и братства уходят корнями в глубь истории, сказал Герой-Аркадаг, отметив, что в 49 году до нашей эры предки туркмен подписали с народом Китая договор, получивший название «Клятвенный договор». Подобное соглашение свидетельствовало о близости двух народов. В нём ут­верждалось: «Пусть наши сыновья и внуки будут верны этому договору из поколения в поколение».

 – Хочу ещё отметить, что древ­ний город Анау не просто так объявлен культурной столицей тюркского мира в 2024 году: по восточному календарю нынешний год у нас считается годом Рыбы, а у китайского народа – годом Дракона, изображения которого и располагались на портале мечети Сейита Джемалетдина, – подчеркнул учёный Аркадаг. 

Приведённые примеры подробно освещаются в недавно вышедшей в свет книге Героя Сердара «Änew – müňýyllyklardan gözbaş alýan medeniýet», сказал Герой Аркадаг. 

Как отметил Национальный Лидер туркменского народа, тот факт, что нынешний год у нас считается годом Рыбы, а у дружественного народа Китая – годом Дракона, имеет большое значение в контексте повышенного внимания мирового сообщества к древнему городу Анау. В то же время это демонстрирует, что наш народ с незапамятных времён поддерживает тесное сотрудничество, особенно культурные связи, с народом Китая, как и с другими народами планеты. 

Мечеть Сейита Джемалетдина, являясь одной из таких историко-культурных ценностей общечеловеческого масштаба, считается неприкосновенной. 

Поскольку ценности рядом с мечетью находятся под охраной, проведение капитальной реконструкции невозможно, и это весьма важно в плане сохранения её в первозданном виде для грядущих поколений. 

Говоря об этом, Хаджи Аркадаг обратился к собравшимся с предложением, если одобрят, в знак проявления почтения к предкам и наследию прошлого, а также уважения личности тех, кто оставил яркий след в истории, новое культовое сооружение, воздвигнутое на этой священной земле, назвать «Мечеть Сейита Джемалетдина». 

Почтенные старейшины, участвующие в садака-агзачаре, одобрили и поддержали предложение Героя-Аркадага, поблагодарив за увековечение имён наших пред­ков, и выразили наилучшие по­желания.

Отметив, что сегодня в новой мечети был дан садака-агзачар, вознесены молитвы и прочитали аяты в священный месяц Ораза, Хаджи-Аркадаг пожелал: «да примет Всевышний наши молитвы!».

«Пусть новая мечеть Сейита Джемалетдина послужит нашему народу в добрых начинаниях!» – сказал Национальный Лидер туркменского народа и, пожелав всем успехов, отбыл с места события.

On March 27, 2024, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and representatives of the business community of the Republic of Korea. The subject of discussion was issues related to the current conditions and promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the current visit of Korean business executives will become an important step in the development of the mutually beneficial established partnership, and wished success in the implementation of new initiatives to expand ties.

In this context, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty focused on the fact that in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state, based on the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052 and the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 years" large-scale industrialization work is underway. This opens up new areas of interaction with Korean partners.

The President and CEO of Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. Hong Hyong Song conveyed greetings and wishes from the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and from the head of the Turkmen-Korean Friendship Group from the Korean side to the National Leader of Turkmen People, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that during a visit to the Republic of Korea in November 2022, at a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, were discussed topics related to the further development of friendly interstate dialogue.

It worth noting that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea interact constructively at multilateral platforms. Demonstrating the similarity of positions on key aspects of the regional and global agenda, our countries support each other’s initiatives put forward within the UN and other international structures. Interstate cooperation in the “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” format is also inherent in its effectiveness.

In addition, an integral part of Turkmen-Korean relations is cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, where regular contacts have been established in the areas of education, science and culture. Main aspects here are the organizations of various joint creative events in both countries, the implementation of educational programs, and the stimulation of connections between scientific centers. Great significance is also attached to the cooperation in healthcare, sports and tourism.

Thus, representatives of the Republic of Korea took part in the International Conference “Main Directions and Potential for the Development of Tourism in Turkmenistan” held in our country. As for healthcare, agreements have been reached on interaction between institutions in this area, and also bilateral documents have been signed.

Active cooperation is carried out in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. At the same time, an important role is given to the parliamentary diplomacy and strengthening ties between legislative bodies. The great importance is attached to the activities of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group “Turkmenistan–Republic of Korea”.

Arkadag also highly appreciated the partnership with leading Korean companies that have been productively working in the petrochemical, gas processing, motor transport and other sectors of the Turkmen economy for many years. Currently, a significant part of the public transport fleet of Turkmenistan, consists of Korean-made vehicles.

The National Leader also noted with satisfaction that with the participation of Korean collaborates, the construction of a gas desulphurization plant at the «Galkynyş» field. In addition, the installations for the production of high-octane motor gasoline at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, and a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the Balkan region were successfully completed.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people focused on opportunities for expanding cooperation in developing the «Galkynyş» gas field, as well as intensifying the construction of the international TAPI gas pipeline. In this regard, Arkadag voiced proposals regarding joint work on the development of the fourth stage of the «Galkynyş» field and the construction of a training center in our country to teach young people Korean language.

Continuing the topic, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the presence of many years of experience in Turkmen-Korean business interaction and the opening of new prospects for the development of long-term partnership, taking into account big plans related to the extraction and processing of “blue fuel”. In this context, an important requirement in the implementation of specialized projects is the use of innovative progresses and high technologies.

Noting wide opportunities for cooperation in various areas, the businessmen confirmed their readiness to take part in a large-scale infrastructure projects ongoing in Turkmenistan and expressed confidence that appropriate agreements would be reached on them. Along with this, it was noted that one of the important concerns of our time is the training of qualified specialists and the exchange of practices.

Representatives of the business community of the Republic of Korea emphasized that the energy and chemical resources available in our country are highly recyclable which is also a significant factor for effective collaboration.

It is worthy to note that there are also sufficient opportunities for productive work in the shipbuilding industry. As it is known, the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repairing factory signed a contract with «Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd» of the Republic of Korea for the joint construction of two dry cargo ships with a carrying capacity of 6100 tons. Relevant activities are being carried out in this direction as well as measures are being taken to obtain certification for the Balkan factory according to international ISO standards. The issues of training qualified specialists are also considered.

Among the strategic vectors of partnership are transport, logistics and cargo transportation. It is planned to establish direct flights between two states.

Expressing gratitude to Arkadag for the well-organized, substantive conversation that took place, the guests again confirmed the readiness of the business circles of the Republic of Korea to expand long-term mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.

On March 27, 2024, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova accepted credential from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Christopher Alberto Martinez Berroteran.

Особо значимо то, что проведение этой международной конференции совпадает с церемонией старта мероприятий по случаю провозглашения Международной организацией тюркской культуры (ТЮРКСОЙ) города Анау культурной столицей тюркского мира в 2024 году. Анау занимает уникальное место в славной истории туркменского народа. Этому городу принадлежит важная роль в популяризации в мире древней культуры Туркменистана, национальных ценностей, традиций и обычаев нашего народа.

Исторические памятники нашей страны, такие как Древний Мерв, Ниса, Куняургенч, «Великий Шёлковый путь: Заравшан–Каракумский коридор», государственные природные заповедники «Bereketli Garagum», «Gaplaňgyr», государственный биосферный заповедник «Repetek» и его пустынная экосистема «Ýerajy» внесены в Список всемирного культурного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to review the progress of seasonal field work in the country and the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, these days sowing cotton has begun in the velayat, in view of which the necessary measures are taken to complete the work within the agro-technical time frame. Particular attention is paid to operating agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity.

At the same time, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation of wheat fields are underway. Treatment is carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards in the fields sown to potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

Moreover, preparations are ongoing in the velayat for the cocoon production season, including providing silkworm breeders with silkworm eggs and concluding agreements with them.

The report also covered the construction progress of facilities for various purposes being carried out in the region as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, scheduled for commissioning this year.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of a responsible approach to the seasonal agricultural work in progress these days, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to comply with the agro-technical requirements when treating wheat fields, and conducting the cotton sowing up to the mark and within the established deadlines.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to focus on the timely and high-quality completion of work planned for the current year in the velayat under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, cotton sowing continues in an organized manner. Measures are taken to ensure that agricultural machinery and equipment are operated at full capacity. In order to strengthen food abundance, wheat fields are treated in compliance with agro-technical standards pursuant to the performance targets.

Moreover, the planting of vegetable, watermelon and melon crops is carried out in the velayat, as well as vegetative irrigation of areas under potatoes and onions.

Measures are taken as part of preparation for the cocoon production season to provide farmers with silkworm eggs and conclude agreements with them.

The report also covered the construction progress of social and industrial facilities in the velayat ongoing under the National Rural Program, scheduled for opening this year.

Having heard the report, and highlighting the importance of high-quality and organized conduct of seasonal agricultural campaigns these days, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to ensure the coordinated activities of all institutions involved in sowing cotton and treating wheat fields in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Furthermore, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the khyakim to keep under strict control the timely and high-quality completion of construction work at various facilities to be commissioned this year as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report from Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation are carried out in an organized manner and in accordance with agro-technical standards in order to grow a bountiful wheat harvest in 2024.

To complete sowing cotton within the established agro-technical time frame, the required amount of high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region has been prepared, and the land plowing and preliminary watering are in progress.

Treatment of fields sown to potatoes and onions and the planting of other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops are also underway.

In order to develop sericulture and increase the cocoon production, preparatory work is currently carried out, including concluding contracts with silkworm breeders.

The report included information on the construction progress of facilities to be commissioned in the velayat this year under the National Rural Program.

Summing up the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of carrying out current agricultural work in compliance with agro-technical standards, instructing the khyakim to take the necessary measures for timely and organized completion of cotton sowing, and proper treatment of wheat fields.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to keep under constant control the quality and timing of construction of social and industrial facilities in the velayat ongoing as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028, scheduled for commissioning the current year.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, cotton sowing has begun in an organized manner, and the necessary measures are taken to achieve its high-quality and timely completion, as well as to operate agricultural machinery at full capacity.

Application of mineral fertilizers and watering are carried out in the wheat fields.

According to the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to maintain food abundance in the country and grow sufficient quantities of vegetables, watermelons and melons, fields sown to potatoes and onions are treated.

At the same time, preparations for the cocoon production season are underway in the region. Currently, measures are taken to conclude agreements with farmers and provide them with silkworm eggs.

The report also covered the construction progress of social and industrial facilities to be commissioned this year under the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the priority areas of seasonal agricultural work and emphasized the importance of sowing cotton and caring for wheat within the prescribed time limits, giving specific instructions to the khyakim.

Emphasizing the importance of successfully implementing the provisions provided for by the country’s socio-economic development programs, the head of state ordered to keep these issues under constant control.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, in accordance with the set goal of growing a bountiful wheat harvest in the country, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation of crops are underway.

Having started sowing cotton in an organized manner, the necessary measures are currently carried out for the high-quality and timely completion of this important campaign, and operating agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity.

Moreover, fields sown to potatoes and onions are treated in the velayat, and preparatory work is in progress for sowing other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

At the same time, preparations for the cocoon production season continue in the region.

Appropriate steps are taken to conclude agreements with farmers and provide them with silkworm eggs, as well as the proper performance of collection points.

The report included information on the construction pace of social and industrial facilities being carried out under the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028”, scheduled for commissioning this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the importance of the agricultural campaigns ongoing these days, and instructed the khyakim to undertake all measures to complete the cotton sowing within the established deadlines and to comply with agro-technical standards when caring for wheat.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the country.

As was reported, cotton sowing has begun in the Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats, and preparations for planting this crop are underway in the Dashoguz Velayat. In order to conduct this campaign in a timely manner, measures are taken to effectively operate agricultural machinery and equipment.

Treatment of wheat fields is carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards in the regions of the country, in particular, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation. Along with this, preparations are underway for the wheat harvest at enterprises, grain collection points and elevators.

In order to increase the production of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops in the country for provide them to the population, the planting of these crops continues in the agricultural areas of the regions.

Moreover, in view of the upcoming cocoon production season, work is in progress to prepare silkworm eggs and conclude contracts between velayat silk producing organizations and silkworm breeders.

Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of the agricultural sector in the national economy and specified the need to carry out seasonal agricultural work at a high level. In this regard, the head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to keep under strict control the organized and timely sowing of cotton and proper care for wheat.

Addressing the working meeting participants, the President of the country emphasized that one of the basic conditions for gathering bountiful harvests in the future is conducting current agricultural campaigns in accordance with agro-technical standards, instructing to ensure proper care for crops, as well as organized preparation for the silkworm cocoon production season.

During the working meeting, the participants cordially congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the publication of his book “Änew –müňýyllyklardan gözbaş alýan medeniýet”, as well as on the unanimous adoption on the initiative of Turkmenistan of the Resolution “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust” at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, and wished Arkadag Hero Serdar and the Hero Arkadag sound health, long years of life and success in their responsible activities.

On March 24, 2024, as part of a working visit to the Geneva, Swiss Confederation, a member of the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the Forum of Young Parliamentarians and introduced the activities carried out in Turkmenistan in the field of youth policy, the environment created for the active involvement of the Youth of Turkmenistan in the development of solutions to regional and international issues, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the Strategy for International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030.

It was noted about the social benefits for youth and young families in accordance with large-scale activities carried out under the Leadership of our Esteemed President to protect the rights and freedoms of youth, ensure social procurement and State support for youth, in accordance with adopted state programs.

On March 24, 2024, as part of a working visit to the Geneva, Swiss Confederation in order to participate in the work of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova and the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union M.Chungong.

During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of international events in increasing the capabilities of the participating countries and especially legislative bodies to harmonize their activities in resolving the issues of our time.

During the meeting, the important role of the meeting of the Parliamentary leaders of the member countries of the Group of Friends of Neutrality, held for the first time this year in our country, in the construction of a bridge of peace and dialogue, was noted.

Interest was expressed in holding joint events of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Turkmenistan within the framework of cooperation.

On March 24, as part of a working visit to the Geneva, Swiss Confederation, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which was attended by representatives from various countries of the world, including Heads of parliaments of 55 countries.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova in her speech noted the importance of the policy of peacekeeping and good neighborliness pursued by our Esteemed President, and the important role of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in ensuring security in the region and the world.

It was also noted about the initiatives of our country, carried out at the global and regional levels, including in strengthening peace and trust through the tools of inter-parliamentary diplomacy, that on the initiative of Turkmenistan at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the year 2025 was declared as the International year of peace and trust became clear evidence of the world community's support for the peace-loving policy of our country.

It was also said that this year it is planned to organize a regional meeting together with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
