Thanks to the incomparable efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and under the wise leadership of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, program activities are carried out in our country in the field of revival and in-depth scientific study of the glorious history of the Turkmen people, educating the young generation in the spirit cultural and spiritual values, sacred traditions, left to us by our ancestors and great personalities, who have made a huge contribution to human development.

In the history of mankind, there are many great personalities whose unique views on world problems left a deep mark not only in the era in which they live, and their valuable creative contribution continues to play a significant role in the modern world, having a great similarity with the goals of humanity. One of such outstanding masters of world literature with a multidimensional creative heritage is Magtymguly Fragi, whose poems had a strong influence on the socio-political and literary-spiritual thought of the entire East.

At the 216th meeting of the Executive Council of UNESCO, held in Paris, the collection of manuscripts of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi was included in the International List of «Truth of the World», the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi was included in the list of commemorative dates to be celebrated in 2024-2025 together with UNESCO, 2024 year declared by the  International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY «Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi». Large-scale activities at the state level are implemented in cooperation with major international organizations, including UNESCO, in the field of safe preservation of universal cultural values, accessibility for the peoples of the world, and friendly and fraternal relations on the planet.

Magtymguly lived in the most difficult period in the history of Turkmenistan. This was the era of interstate wars and interethnic conflicts. In this period, like a clear lightning in the dark sky, our great poet was born, and as the main exponent of the thoughts and aspirations of the people, He constantly called the scattered Turkmen tribes to unity and creating a strong state. Fragi was confident that only by unity; the desperate Turkmen tribes would be able to achieve intellectual and moral solidarity. His views on the importance of unity within the framework of the national state, his dreams of a bright future Turkmen became the core mentality of the nation, which determined his desire for freedom and independent development.

The life and creative path of the poet was difficult, full of endless trials, temptations and sufferings, as a result of which fiery lines of verses were born, in which, as in the purest crystal, found a bright reflection of universal ideas, ideals and thoughts, which excited all nations at all times. At the same time, none of the poets before him could talk so fully and freely about his time, express all human feelings and moods, and praise land love. For the first time in his poetry, the life of the Turkmen people, his dreams and hopes, sorrows and dreams were reflected with such force, fullness and sympathy.

Magtymguly was deeply concerned about the difficult fate of his people, constantly looking for a way out of a difficult life situation. He was convinced that the illiteracy of the people is also the main cause of the complications of life and society, and he called to solve this problem by educating people. He was the first Turkmen poet who inspired people to actively fight against illiteracy. As a poet-thinker, a highly educated person of his time, relying on the most advanced ways of thinking, Magtymguly was able to combine his ideas about a just world and a safe, free society.

These humanistic ideals of Magtymguly Fragi, which formed the basis of his poems in the distant 18th century, have a clear similarity with the four peace goals of the United Nations, such as: Maintaining peace in the world; Development of friendly relations between nations; Improving the life of poor people, eradicating illiteracy and promoting respect for rights and freedoms. Similar philosophical views of the poet remain relevant today in the cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN and UNESCO to ensure global security in the modern world. They express deep thoughts, addressed to the future and meeting the spiritual needs not only of the Turkmen people, but also of all mankind.

It is noteworthy that the deep thoughts of the Turkmen poet's verses, aimed at the future, correspond to such important spiritual needs of mankind as honesty, generosity, and humanity. In most of his poems, Magtymguly warned people against such life vices as greed and anger: «Be friendly to the homeless orphan, accept him, warm him, and feed him. » he called.

The above mentions are confirmed by the fact that Magtymguly’s genius undoubtedly transcends national borders, and his poetic heritage is a world heritage. For this reason, Magtymguly's high human ideals are well appreciated by the world community, which unanimously voted to improve his image in the international sphere.

The meaning and importance of the historical and cultural heritage is the national heritage of one or another nation is generously distributed and transferred to others, and vice versa, integrating into another cultural environment, they absorb the values ​​of the culture of other nations and thereby contribute to the process of spiritual interaction. This is the case when the giver does not lose, but acquires, and the giver does not become poor, but becomes rich.

When you think about the creative phenomenon of Magtymguly and the similarity of his worldview with universal human goals, you involuntarily remember the talented writer Chingiz Aytmatov, who considered him «the Genius of Turkmen literature, whose light illuminates the neighboring fraternal nations. »

Our country is proud of its world-famous great poet Magtymguly Fragi, worthy historical-cultural and natural monuments, beautiful and exquisite carpets, wonderful embroidery, wonderful Kushtdepdi dance and playing musical instrument dutar, as well as priceless Ahal-Teke horses, which are included in the UNESCO Heritage List of Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Culture. 

About three centuries separate us from the era in which the great Magtymguly Fragi was created. Despite the fact that for more than 200 years, the poet who glorified our homeland to the whole world has not been with us, but the memory of him lives in the consciousness of every Turkmen so much that any of us, without a doubt, will be able to distinguish the voice of the great Magtymguly millions. This is because Magtymguly will remain for the Turkmen not just a poet; he occupies a special place in the hearts of each of us, as a faithful friend, a wise adviser and an experienced educator.

All this proclaims one truth; Magtymguly rose above time, above the age and above the whole world with his poetic talent!

A special conference entitled «Historical and cultural values ​​that unite nations» was held by organizing by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan dedicated to the famous 300th Anniversary of Fragi and its cultural heritage of the great thinker and poet of the East, the founder of Turkmen classical literature Magtymguly Fragi, was announced by an international organization of Turkic culture, TURKSOY as the «Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi», on June 22 of the «Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi» year.

Representatives of the Parliaments of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Iran, as well as the Director of the Regional Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Almaty, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs of Turkmenistan, TURKSOY Secretary General attended to the session.

The main purpose of the session was celebrating the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, who made an immense contribution to the development of world literature and culture, at the level of the Parliament and to support the cultural policy of the states, to widely publicize and preserve the literary heritage of the great masters of speech, which are considered the pillars of the spiritual values ​​of all mankind, and to educate young generations in their spirit. , is to promote friendly relations between fraternal nations and expand the scope of parliamentary cooperation.

The first speech was given to the Executive Secretary of Turkmenistan's National Committee on UNESCO affairs, Hero of Turkmenistan, distinguished diplomat of Turkmenistan Chinar Tajievna Rustamova. In her speech, she said that with the tireless efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and under the prudent Leadership of the Honorable Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of Turkmenistan, the restoration of the glorious history of the Turkmen people in the country, thorough scientific study, and the development of the young generation from our ancestors and the general development. She noted that large-scale work is being done at the state level with major international organizations, including UNESCO, to preserve the cultural values ​​of humanity, make them available to the peoples of the world, and focus on establishing peace and brotherly relations on Earth.

Director of the Regional Office of UNESCO in Almaty, Amir Piric said in his informative speech that the historical monuments and national values ​​of the peoples of the world are regularly included in the UNESCO list, and the active character of Turkmenistan's cooperation with UNESCO is highly appreciated. He said that Turkmenistan's activities in this field are of great importance in preserving the cultural and spiritual values ​​of humanity and passing them on to future generations.

Then the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Holmatovich Saidov noted that the cultural-humanitarian relations between the two neighboring friendly countries are growing on a wide scale, the quality of parliamentary relations is reaching a new level, he expressed his gratitude to the Heads of the two friendly countries for making it possible to hold such a conference in the year of the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi in his speech. He particularly noted that this international conference is innovative and of great importance in the development of cultural-humanitarian relations and parliamentary cooperation between nations.

Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education and Health Care of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odiljon Karimovich Iminov, said in his speech the great poems of Magtymguly Fagi, a great thinker and classical poet of the East, were translated into Uzbek language and read with great interest by the Uzbek people. He proudly noted that he decorates his celebrations and that state-level ceremonial events are held dedicated to the life and creativity of the great poet. Also, during his speech, he recited a few lines from the poems of the great poet, drawing attention to the philosophical views and deep meaningful thoughts expressed in them.

Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Bakhtiyar Gamza oglu Aliyev said Magtymguly Fragi's poems calling for friendship and moral values ​​have been translated into many languages ​​and made available to different peoples in his speech. He said that, dedicated to the literary heritage of the wise poet, wide representative scientific councils are organized in Azerbaijan and scientific works have published.

Chairman of the Committee on Social, Cultural Development and Science of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtore Baytelesovich Zhussip addressed the meeting participants and noted that the great poems of Magtymguly Fragi, a great thinker and master of words of the East, were translated into Kazakh and read with great interest by the public.

Chairman of the Committee on Coordination of the activities of Majlisi Milli and Mejlisi Namoyandagon, Executive Power, Public Associations, Mass Media and Parliamentary Relations of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Rahimi pointed out that peace, unity, integration mentioned in the Magtymguly Fragi’s poems is still very important in our time.

He said that on the occasion of the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, various shiny ceremonies are held in the Republic of Tajikistan, a general secondary school named after Magtymguly is being built in Dusti district of Khatlon province, and he said that this proves that the humanitarian relations between our countries reached to a new level.

Member of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirgul Omurzakovna Temirbaeva said about the importance of carrying out various activities in cultural and humanitarian fields to activate development of friendship and fraternal relations between them the economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, the agenda of which included a number of issues of public life.

The first speaker was the Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed about the ongoing activities to improve the legal framework of the country. In this regard, it was reported on the preparation of a draft of a new edition of the Civil Code, as well as on the introduction of amendments and additions to the Budget and Sanitary Codes, to the Laws “On Physical Culture and Sports”, “On State Scientific and Technical Policy”, “On Seed Production”.

At the same time, it was announced that a letter of credence had been accepted from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia to our country.

Along with this, it was held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to consider the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial interparliamentary relations in lawmaking, as well as organizational issues of holding the next Interparliamentary Forum of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation. During the meeting with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, opportunities for increasing cooperation between the parliaments of the two states were discussed.

It was reported that representatives of the Mejlis took part in forums on the implementation of international conventions on the rights of women and youth and global issues of macroeconomic strategy, organized by the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, the Population Fund and the Asian Development Bank together with the relevant government agencies of our country.

People’s deputies also participate in events to explain the public the goals and objectives of domestic and foreign policy, current laws, national programs for the socio-economic development of the Homeland, and the socio-political significance of the year “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi.”

Summarizing the information presented, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of preparing draft new legal acts that meet the requirements of the time. These laws should reflect the development goals of our country, the head of Turkmenistan said, noting the need to carry out effective work in this direction.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov reported on the practical steps being taken to improve the statistics system in accordance with modern requirements, the use of new methods of data collection and processing, and the introduction of digital technologies.

In this regard, it was reported that, according to the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028”, it is envisaged to introduce a methodology for receiving electronic statistical reports of government agencies, as well as an electronic method of collecting information, in particular, through the Internet. Along with this, it is planned to develop cooperation and exchange experience with relevant international organizations and legal entities of foreign countries.

As was reported, within the framework of the implementation of the project documents “Strengthening the institutional and statistical capacity for national calculations” and “Strengthening the institutional, statistical and information technology capacity of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics”, the State Committee on Statistics, together with the UNDP has developed a special software project, offered to be put in force on a pilot basis from July 1 of the current year, and to be fully operational from October 1.

After listening to the report, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized that the modernization of the statistics system should be continued in accordance with the realities of the time. At the same time, it was noted the need to use modern methods, along with the introduction of digital technologies.

Having approved the proposal presented by the Deputy Prime Minister to introduce specialized software aimed at expanding the range of services and improving statistical reporting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to begin relevant work in this direction.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Amanov reported on the measures taken by the Türkmengaz State Concern for the effective functioning of gas pipelines.

As reported, practical steps are being implemented in order to successfully solve the problems outlined in the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028” and the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for transforming the social and living conditions of the population of villages, rural settlements, etrap towns and etrap centers for the period until 2028”. In connection with this the Türkmengazakdyryş Union and the Türkmengaz State Concern, major repairs are being carried out on a number of gas pipelines.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches special importance to ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population, industrial enterprises, and social facilities. It is necessary to constantly maintain the working condition of gas pipelines, which will increase the reliability of supplies of “blue fuel” to internal and external consumers, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized, addressing a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahallyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s fields.

In particular, the wheat harvest continues in the velayats these days. At the same time, the technical arsenal is effectively used, the collected white wheat “ak bugday” is transported in an organized manner to receiving points and elevators, and timely payments are made to grain growers for the grain delivered to the state. Along with this, the preparation of land intended for planting next year’s wheat harvest is underway.

In accordance with agricultural technology standards, cotton is cared for, including inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering. In addition, work is being done to grow potatoes and vegetable and melon crops and provide the population with these products.

As part of seasonal agricultural campaigns, measures to care for rice fields are being implemented in Dashoguz velayat, and sowing of this crop continues in Lebap velayat. In Mary velayat, plowing and leveling work is being carried out on land plots allocated for winter sugar beets, as well as its sowing.

It was reported that practical steps are being taken to preserve and enrich the flora and fauna of the country, in particular, in state natural reserves everything necessary is being done to increase the population of plants and animals, especially those listed in the Red Book of Turkmenistan, as well as to take into account their habitats and monitor them and scientific study.

Noting the importance of further comprehensive development of the country’s agricultural sector, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under strict control the organized harvest and delivery of the harvest to the warehouse of the Homeland. In this context, the emphasis was placed on the need for uninterrupted and full use of special equipment.

The focus of constant attention should be on compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for fields sown with cotton, the head of Turkmenistan continued, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out work on growing a rich harvest of other seasonal crops in accordance with the requirements.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov reported on the comprehensive steps taken by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production in order to fulfill the instructions previously given by the President of Turkmenistan to establish the production of import-substituting products.

In connection with the increase in the number of residential buildings and modern facilities for various purposes being built in the country, taking into account the growing need for elevators, the feasibility of organizing their production and creating a special enterprise for the repair and maintenance of existing similar equipment was noted.

As a result of the work carried out by the Ministry, proposals have been received to create a joint venture and the relevant technical characteristics are currently being analyzed. In this regard, a proposal on this issue was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the need to continue to take effective measures to create enterprises, including joint ones, specializing in the production of various types of products. In this context, the importance of establishing the production of elevators and organizing special production for repair and maintenance was noted.

Having approved the presented proposal, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out appropriate work in this direction.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Atdaev reported on the ongoing preparations on behalf of the President of the country for the business forum “Turkmenistan – United Arab Emirates”, scheduled for June 25 of this year in Ashgabat.

It was reported that companies specializing in the fields of energy, digital technologies, trade, agriculture, food industry, construction and tourism will take part in the business event. The forum will discuss issues of developing interstate cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, industrial sectors, as well as in the field of renewable energy sources.

Along with this, it is planned to organize meetings between entrepreneurs of the two countries with the aim of exchanging experiences and intensifying productive relations.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that the trade and economic interaction of our state with foreign countries is constantly developing and exhibitions and business forums held in this direction contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation. In this context, instructions were given to ensure a high organizational level of the Turkmenistan – United Arab Emirates business forum.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Mammedova reported on the ongoing work on the construction of a new building for the Children’s Art School in Ashgabat.

As noted, this facility is envisaged for construction within the framework of the task defined in the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028.” Taking into account the increasing number of housing estates and the wishes of the capital’s population it is proposed to build a new building for the Children’s Art School.

In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that our country ensures a prosperous and happy life for children on a programmatic basis. At the same time, all conditions are created to introduce children to various types of art and artistic creativity. Having approved the proposal presented by the Deputy Prime Minister for the construction of a new building for the Children’s Art School, the head of state ordered the corresponding work to be carried out.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N.Amannepesov reported on the comprehensive measures being implemented for the proper organization and conduct of state accounting of scientific programs, plans and reports on scientific activities.

Having reported that in order to regulate relations in this area, modernize the country’s scientific and technical information system, form a reliable database of scientific research works, prepare and implement scientific and technical specialized programs, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan has developed a draft corresponding document, the Deputy Prime Minister presented it at review by the head of state.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the growing role of science in the development of the national economy and society. Having signed the Resolution “On approval of the Procedure for organizing and conducting state accounting of scientific programs (projects), plans and reports on scientific activities,” the head of Turkmenistan sent the document to the Deputy Prime Minister for the digital system, addressing the relevant instructions.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on the steps taken to develop further cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

In this regard, it was noted that one of the priority directions of the foreign policy of the Homeland is the strengthening and expansion of partnership with the United Nations and its regional structures.

With the above-mentioned Commissions, our country is implementing priority tasks for interaction in such important areas as the economy, transport, energy, environmental protection, and ensuring sustainable development. Based on national interests, proposals prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were presented to increase this cooperation.

As is known, since 1998 the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asian Countries – SPECA – has been operating. Over the past period, Turkmenistan has repeatedly chaired this Program and successfully held its meetings and economic forums. Our state was also among the first to come up with specific proposals to improve the activities of SPECA. In view of the end of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan at the end of 2024 in this Program, proposals were voiced for the Chairmanship of Turkmenistan in SPECA in 2025, the preparation of a corresponding Concept and Action Plan.

It was also noted that within the framework of the UNECE, our country is interacting in the field of sustainable energy. In order to implement the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan in this area, it is proposed to introduce representatives of the Türkmengaz State Concern and the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan as members of the UNECE Group of Experts on Gas, Renewable Energy Sources, Clean Electric Power Systems.

In May 2023, at the 79th session of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, on the initiative of our country, the Resolution “Consideration of the conditions for the creation of a Special United Nations Program for the Aral Sea Basin” was adopted unanimously. To solve the problems outlined in it, proposals were voiced to organize a special meeting this summer with the participation of experts from relevant ministries and sectoral departments of Turkmenistan, international organizations and ESCAP member states, as well as in the fourth quarter of 2024, hold a seminar in Ashgabat on the prevention of natural disasters in the Aral basin.

As you know, in 2022 our country joined the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Electronic Commerce in the Asia-Pacific Region. In order to implement this Agreement, it is planned to create a Working Group, to which it seems appropriate to propose representatives of the Ministry of Adalat and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan as members.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals presented, emphasizing that Turkmenistan cooperates closely and fruitfully with the United Nations. Noting the importance of further developing partnerships with the UN Economic Commission for Europe and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the head of state gave the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relevant instructions.

Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the executed work to train international-level specialists for civil aviation.

As reported, state policy in the educational sphere is aimed at educating a generation of highly professional personnel capable of realizing the grandiose plans of the modern era, as well as introducing innovative technologies and best world practices into the educational process. In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

After listening to the report, the President of Turkmenistan stated with satisfaction that our country is successfully training international-class personnel for civil aviation. In this context, an important task is to organize control and verification work on the relevant aircraft by local specialists, the head of state emphasized, instructing the head of the Agency to carry out relevant activities in this direction in accordance with international requirements.

Concluding the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished everyone good health, family well-being and great success in work for the prosperity of the sovereign Homeland.

On June 20, 2024, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, met with the Chairman of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, Ms. Mabel Chinomona, with the participation of representatives of the Parliaments of two countries.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis Turkmenistan introduced the guest to the priority directions of the domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, as well as the structure of the national Parliament and ongoing activities to exchange experience in the legislative sphere.

During the meeting, the parties were noted with satisfaction that there are wide opportunities for exchanging experience in improving national legislation and parliamentary activities, familiarizing themselves with the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries, and strengthening friendly relations between peoples.

On June 20, 2024 the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova accepted credential from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan Ruslan Stoyanov.

On behalf of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the national Parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, wished him success in his work to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.

During the conversation, Ambassador was informed about the priorities of the internal and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, which is constantly implementing a strategy based on the principles of positive neutrality, equality, and mutually beneficial cooperation, the composition of the national parliament and the ongoing work on legislative support for reforms being implemented in various sectors. It was emphasized that parliamentary negotiations have become an important part of improving cooperation between the two countries and the work of parliamentary friendship groups created on a bilateral basis increases opportunities for the exchange of experience in improving legislation and parliamentary work.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria assured that he would make every effort to further deepen effective cooperation that fully meets consistent with the interests of both countries.

Сегодня Президент Сердар Бердымухамедов совершил рабочую поездку в западный регион страны, где ознакомился с ходом реализации государственной программы социально-экономического развития велаятов и темпами уборки зерновых.

В эру Возрождения новой эпохи могущественного государства в аграрном секторе Балканского велаята, как и в других регионах Отчизны, претворяются в жизнь масштабные реформы, придающие их развитию мощный импульс. В поле зрения находятся вопросы налаживания эффективной работы сельских тружеников. Дайхане полностью обеспечиваются качественными семенами, минеральными удобрениями, современной сельхозтехникой.

Постоянное внимание главы государства к созданию благоприятных условий для продуктивного труда аграриев способствует увеличению объёмов производства пшеницы и других сельскохозяйственных культур.

Ранним утром вертолёт Президента страны направился из столицы в Кизыларватский этрап Балканского велаята.

Программная деятельность в аграрном секторе, инициированная Героем-Аркадагом и ныне успешно реализуемая под дальновидным руководством главы Туркменистана Сердара Бердымухамедова, вывела эту важную отрасль национальной экономики на качественно новый уровень развития. Инвестиционные средства направляются на техническое оснащение и модернизацию агропромышленного комплекса и связанных с ним сфер – строительство элеваторов, перерабатывающих сельскохозяйственных предприятий, заводов по производству минеральных удобрений, водохозяйственных сооружений.

Эти меры способствуют успешному решению важных задач по обеспечению продовольственного изобилия в стране, открывают большие возможности для дальнейшего развития сельского хозяйства.

Вертолёт главы государства приземлился возле пшеничного поля дайханского объединения «Arkaç» в Кизыларватском этрапе.

Здесь Президента Туркменистана тепло встретили руководители аграрного сектора страны, а также хяким Балканского велаята.

Укрепление продовольственного изобилия, реформы в сельском хозяйстве, организация работы в этой сфере согласно требованиям времени и активное вовлечение в отрасль частных производителей осуществляются на программной основе. Создаются земельные фонды для выращивания сельскохозяйственных культур.

Кроме того, обеспечиваются все условия для того, чтобы производители сельскохозяйственной продукции приобретали технику всемирно известных компаний, современное оборудование для предприятий, широко внедряли передовой опыт и технологии. Большое значение также придаётся созданию благоприятных условий для частных производителей, занимающихся сельским хозяйством, и их финансовой поддержке.

Реформы в аграрном и промышленном секторах являются неотъемлемой составляющей глубоко продуманной стратегии Президента Туркменистана, направленной на всестороннюю поддержку производителей. В результате дайхане усердно трудятся, выращивая богатые урожаи сельскохозяйственной продукции за счёт введения в оборот новых земель и повышения культуры земледелия. Таким образом, обеспечивается продовольственное изобилие и улучшается благосостояние нашего народа, каждой семьи.

Под урожай этого года на сельхозугодьях Балканского велаята были посеяны высокоурожайные сорта пшеницы. Благодаря поддержке Президента Сердара Бердымухамедова в сезон уборки зерновых эффективно используются современные комбайны таких известных компаний, как «John Deere» и «Claas». Эти машины работают круглосуточно, помогая дайханам быстро и без потерь собрать пшеницу.

Главу Туркменистана здесь тепло встретили братья-близнецы Аннагулы и Ашыргулы Аннагулыевы, арендаторы дайханского объединения «Arkaç».

Дайхане отметили, что визит главы государства в Балкан является большой радостью для жителей велаята, и сообщили, что накануне с благословения Президента Туркменистана, почётных старейшин страны здесь началась хлебоуборочная страда. Они попросили Аркадаглы Героя Сердара благословить начало жатвы.

Президент Сердар Бердымухамедов произнёс «Bismilla» и срезал небольшой сноп пшеницы, выращенной трудолюбивыми дайханами.

Затем мощная техника приступила к сбору урожая. Президент Туркменистана понаблюдал за работой зерноуборочных комбайнов на пшеничном поле дайханского объединения «Arkaç».

Огромные площади хлебной нивы свидетельствуют о том, что усердная работа дайхан в этом году принесла хороший урожай. Прекрасные пшеничные поля символизируют изобилие дастархана нашего народа.

Следует отметить, что уровень оснащённости зерноуборочных комбайнов, их производительность соответствуют высоким мировым стандартам, почвенно-климатическим условиям страны, что отражается в высоких показателях. В комбайнах, управляемых с помощью цифровой системы, предусмотрены все условия для продуктивной работы механизаторов. Это наглядный результат непосредственных усилий Президента Сердара Бердымухамедова по укреплению материально-технической базы агропромышленного комплекса, благодаря чему сбор выращенного урожая обеспечивается в короткие сроки и с высоким качеством.

В нашей стране работникам отрасли оказывается всесторонняя поддержка, включая инвестиции в приобретение новой техники и модернизацию всей инфраструктуры сельскохозяйственного производства. Дайханские объединения, арендаторы и другие производители бесперебойно обеспечиваются необходимыми сельхозмашинами и автотранспортом, удобрениями, высококачественными семенами.

Государство предоставляет льготные кредиты на приобретение техники от ведущих мировых компаний. Это положительно сказывается на повышении плодородия полей, получении богатых урожаев и росте производственных мощностей частных предприятий, занятых выпуском продовольственной продукции.

Затем вице-премьер Т.Атахаллыев доложил главе государства о ходе уборки зерна в стране.

Как отмечалось, в настоящее время во всех пяти велаятах жатва пшеницы ведётся ускоренными темпами. При этом особое внимание уделяется эффективной эксплуатации сельскохозяйственной техники.

Президент Сердар Бердымухамедов подчеркнул, что быстрый и без потерь сбор выращенного дайханами зерна является одним из главных условий укрепления продовольственного изобилия в стране, поручив держать под контролем вопросы организованного проведения сезона жатвы, бесперебойного приёма собранного урожая и его хранения, ухода за другими культурами со строгим соблюдением норм агротехники.

Глава государства также ознакомился с развёрнутой здесь выставкой овощной и фруктовой продукции, сортов зерновых культур, хлеба и хлебобулочных изделий, которые изготовлены из пшеницы урожая этого года. Следует отметить, что для нашего народа хлеб всегда являлся священным.

Разнообразие представленной продукции – яркое свидетельство плодородия туркменской земли. В результате реализуемых программных мер в нашей стране выращиваются богатые урожаи пшеницы и других зерновых, овощей и фруктов, растут благосостояние народа, изобилие на дастарханах каждого семейного очага.

Собранная дайханами продукция, особенно зерновые, отличается высоким качеством, питательностью и экологической чистотой. А это значит, что всё выращенное на нашей земле под обильным солнцем по своим показателям соответствует международным стандартам.

Туркменская земля – древний очаг, где зародилась богатая культура земледелия. На протяжении тысячелетий наши предки не жалели сил для выращивания качественной и питательной пшеницы. Для арендаторов богатый урожай – это залог изобильной жизни, проверка профессионального мастерства. С каждым годом пополняются ряды работников отрасли, демонстрирующих любовь к родной земле и умеющих трудиться на ней эффективно.

Всё это является результатом успешного выполнения задач, поставленных Президентом Туркменистана по укреплению продовольственного изобилия в стране, в том числе по обеспечению внутреннего рынка продукцией отечественного производства.

Далее Президент Туркменистана, побеседовав с молодыми арендаторами Аннагулыевыми, поинтересовался условиями их труда, видами культур, выращиваемых на арендованных землях, продуктивностью зерновых полей.

Братья-арендаторы отметили, что благодаря возможностям, созданным Президентом Туркменистана и Героем-Аркадагом, имеются все условия для усердной и эффективной работы молодёжи. Они сказали, что занимаются земледелием с 2020 года. Аннагулы рассчитывает собрать в этом году 256 тонн пшеницы с 64 гектаров земли. Он также засеял 15 гектаров хлопчатником, 5,7 гектара картофелем и 4 гектара овощами. А у Ашыргулы 15 гектаров земли отдано под хлопчатник, 4,3 гектара под картофель и 4 гектара под овощи.

Как отметил Президент страны, в этом году повышены государственные закупочные цены на пшеницу и хлопок, и поэтому доходы дайхан тоже будут расти. В Отчизне большое внимание уделяется развитию сельского хозяйства, предпринимаются необходимые меры для улучшения социально-бытовых условий жизни на селе. Создаются все условия для того, чтобы дайхане получали богатые урожаи и повышали своё благосостояние. Арендаторы обеспечиваются современной техникой, высококачественными семенами и удобрениями.

Подчёркивая постоянную поддержку государством наших земледельцев, которые усердно работают и получают обильные урожаи, Президент Сердар Бердымухамедов высоко оценил их благородный труд, отметив, что народ гордится своими мужественными дайханами, играющими большую роль в укреплении продовольственного изобилия в стране.

Аркадаглы Герой Сердар вручил подарки арендаторам, получающим богатые урожаи.

В свою очередь, выразив искреннюю признательность за подарки и условия, созданные для продуктивного труда дайхан, они пожелали Президенту Туркменистана и Национальному Лидеру туркменского народа Герою-Аркадагу крепкого здоровья, долгих лет жизни и больших успехов в деятельности во благо народа и страны.

Затем глава государства вручил хякиму Балканского велаята ключи от 200 современных автомобилей, предназначенных для жителей велаята.

Выразив сердечную признательность от имени счастливых жителей региона за подаренные современные автомобили, хяким пожелал Президенту Туркменистана и Национальному Лидеру туркменского народа, Председателю Халк Маслахаты Герою-Аркадагу здоровья, долголетия и новых достижений в работе, направленной на процветание Отчизны и туркменистанцев.

Высокие темпы жатвы являются наглядным показателем эффективности мер по обеспечению продовольственного изобилия в стране и полному удовлетворению потребностей населения в продовольственной продукции, а также главным условием успешного выполнения поставленных задач.

Как отметил Президент Туркменистана, сегодня важная задача – провести зерноуборочную кампанию организованно и на должном уровне. Это обеспечит эффективность деятельности, направленной на благополучие страны, следующей по пути гармоничного развития и счастливой жизни нашего народа.

Таким образом, создаются все условия для того, чтобы каждый гражданин нашего независимого государства, в том числе дайханин, имел возможность работать, творить, получать богатые урожаи, выполнять договорные обязательства, честным трудом обеспечивать себе достойную жизнь.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, the agenda of which included a number of issues of state life.

The first speaker was the Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed about the ongoing activities to strengthen the country’s legislative framework.

Having announced the adoption of the Law of Turkmenistan “On the Cultural Heritage of Magtymguly Fragi”, the head of the national Parliament expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the approval of this significant legal act.

There was also information about the development of a new edition of the Civil Code, amendments and additions to a number of laws, including the Budget Code of the country.

At the same time, it was reported about preparations for the elections of deputies to replace those who retired, which are scheduled for July 7 of the current year. As noted, work in this direction is carried out jointly with the Central Election Commission, the Ashgabat khyakimlik and public associations in accordance with the electoral legislation.

Information was also provided on measures being taken to build up inter-parliamentary relations and interaction with international organizations. In particular, during the period under review, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, a letter of credence was accepted from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to our country.

At the same time, a meeting was held with a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, during which the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy were discussed. Representatives of the Mejlis went on official trips to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Estonia and the Republic of Tajikistan in order to study best practices in legislative activities.

Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to further improve the country’s legal framework and carry out effective work to prepare new bills that meet modern requirements.

Continuing the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of proper preparation for the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan scheduled for July 7 of this year to replace those who retired.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov, who spoke further, reported on the practical steps being taken to bring the work in the field of standardization and metrology into line with the realities of the time.

In particular, information was presented about the comparative verification of measuring instruments used in industry departments carried out by the Türkmenstandartlary Main State Service. Having reported that work in this direction is being carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Turkmenistan “On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measuring Instruments”, and the Vice-Premier submitted a corresponding proposal for consideration by the President of the country.

After listening to the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the activities of the Turkmenstandartlary Main State Service should be consistently improved. Having approved the proposal of the Vice-Premier to conduct periodic comparative verifications in order to confirm the compliance of samples of measuring instruments with the metrological requirements of international standards, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to take appropriate measures to solve the problems identified in this area.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Amanov reported on the progress of the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of work at the production facilities of the Türkmengaz State Concern.

In accordance with this Plan, practical steps are being taken to modernize production facilities subordinate to the State Concern and maintain their specialized equipment in good condition. In particular, phased and major repairs of technical equipment are carried out at gas compressor stations.

In addition, to increase the reliability of gas pipelines and operate gas facilities at full capacity, work continues on their logistics and supply of spare parts.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that for the smooth functioning of the production facilities of the Türkmengaz State Concern, it is necessary to carry out the planned activities in a timely manner. It is also necessary to establish direct cooperation with foreign companies for the purchase, repair and maintenance of equipment, the head of state said, giving the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev reported on the ongoing work in the agro-industrial sector, as well as on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.

It was reported that in order to further strengthen food abundance in Turkmenistan, in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats, practical steps are being taken to organize the harvest season, including harvesting wheat in the shortest possible time and delivering them to the storehouse of the Homeland. In addition, today farmers from Balkan and Dashoguz velayats have started mowing.

Along with this, thinning, weeding, replenishment with mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are carried out in fields sown with cotton.

Currently, rice sowing has been completed in Dashoguz velayat, and preparations are underway for the start of sowing this crop in Lebap velayat. At the same time, areas for sugar beets are being prepared in Mary velayat, and in particular, land is being plowed and leveled.

Livestock farms in the velayats are taking the necessary measures to create stocks of feed for livestock. Efforts are being made to strengthen the material and technical base of the country's water sector, and irrigation and drainage networks are being cleaned.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of further comprehensive development of the agricultural sector. Instructions were also given to exercise strict control over the organized grain harvesting and delivery of the harvest to the warehouse of the Homeland.

It is necessary to continue caring for fields sown with cotton in compliance with agro-technical standards, and keep this issue in the center of constant attention, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized, assigning the Vice-Premier to carry out proper work to obtain generous harvests of other seasonal agricultural crops.

Next, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov reported on the state of affairs in the area under his supervision, in particular in the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern.

As noted, for the effective functioning of the Tejenkarbamid, Marykarbamid and Garabogazkarbamid plants, subordinate to the Concern, effective measures are being taken to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials to production facilities. In this regard, a draft relevant Resolution was submitted to the head of Turkmenistan for consideration.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring stable operation of the country’s chemical industry enterprises and taking practical steps to increase their production capacity.

It is necessary to continue to carry out appropriate work on the purchase of raw materials for specialized industrial complexes, the head of state noted. Having signed the Resolution “On the purchase of urea-formaldehyde concentrate required for urea production plants of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, the President of Turkmenistan sent the document to the Deputy Prime Minister via the digital system and addressed him with a number of specific instructions.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Atdayev reported on the measures being taken to solve the tasks set in the “Concept for the development of international exhibition activities of Turkmenistan for 2024–2025.”

As reported, within the framework of this work, it is planned for our country to participate in the International Exhibition “China-Eurasia EXPO”, which will be held in the city of Urumqi (PRC).

The international show includes mainly three areas: cooperation in the investment field, national pavilions, and specialized industry sections. During the exhibition, it is planned to organize trade and investment forums, exchange of experience, and various economic and cultural events.

As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, the presentation of the National Pavilion of our country at this large-scale exhibition, the promotion of goods and services of various industries, as well as private manufacturers, will expand the presence of Turkmen export-oriented products in the Chinese market, and strengthen trade, economic and business interaction.

Having noted with satisfaction that our independent Fatherland takes an active part in major international events, exhibitions and conferences, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered the participation of the National Pavilion in the International Exhibition “China-Eurasia EXPO”, which will be held from June 26 to 30 of the current year.

Participation in this large-scale show, which will be held in the People’s Republic of China, will expand trade, economic and business relations, the head of state emphasized, addressing the Deputy Prime Minister relevant commissions.

Next, Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Mammedova reported on organizational issues related to the holding of the 2nd Theater Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in Ashgabat.

This creative event, in accordance with the relevant Resolutions of the President of Turkmenistan, is scheduled for October of this year. The participation of theater groups from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan is expected. It is also planned to hold a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State Theaters of the TURKSOY member countries.

Noting that our country has launched celebrations and events on the occasion of declaring Anau city as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to properly prepare for the high-level holding of the 2nd Theater Festival of the member countries of International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in October of the current year in Ashgabat.

Continuing the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the ongoing work to museumify the finds discovered along the ancient caravan route that passed through the northern region of the country.

As reported, near the gengeshlik of Dovkesen etrap named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi, Dashoguz velayat, local residents found 18 gold and 3 silver coins, as well as 61 fragments of gold coins and 8 multi-colored objects. As a result of a preliminary analysis carried out by scientists and specialists of the National Department of Turkmenistan for the protection, study and restoration of historical and cultural monuments together with numismatists of the country’s Academy of Sciences, it was established that some gold coins bear the names of Sultan Allaaddin Muhammad – the ruler of the Khorezmshah state and his father Sultan Tekesh.

According to scientists, these coins date back to the 12th–13th centuries, in particular, dating back to the heyday of the powerful state founded by the Kunyaurgench Turkmens. During this period, as noted in the book “Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road” by Hero-Arkadag, Kunyaurgench city was located at an important crossroads of the transcontinental route between the West and the East. These artifacts complement the historical information described in the work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Having reported that these valuables have now been transferred to the fund of the museum of the Köneürgenç State Historical and Cultural Reserve, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted for consideration to the head of Turkmenistan a proposal to transfer the finds to the Museum of History and Local Lore of Arkadag city on June 22 of the current year. As part of the celebration, it is planned to hold a working meeting “Possibilities of world practice in recording and preserving museum valuables,” an exhibition of museum valuables and works of decorative and applied art, as well as the presentation of incentive gifts to citizens who discovered these artifacts and took part in transferring them to the state.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the protection of historical and cultural heritage, its scientific study and preservation for future generations are among the key tasks of national importance. The head of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out appropriate work in order to popularize the finds discovered on the territory of Dashoguz velayat among the general population, replenish the museum fund and transfer these values to the museum.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N.Amannepesov reported on the draft Procedure for organizing and implementing state accounting of scientific programs, plans and reports on scientific activities.

Guided by the assignments of the President of Turkmenistan to ensure the development of regulatory documents arising from the country’s legislation, appropriate measures are currently being taken to monitor the development of domestic scientific and technical potential. In this regard, the Academy of Sciences, together with ministries and industry departments, on the basis of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Scientific and Technical Policy”, prepared the above-mentioned document.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan pays great attention to strengthening scientific potential and the widespread introduction of innovative technologies into production. In this context, emphasizing the importance of taking into account scientific programs, plans and reports on scientific activities carried out in the Homeland, the head of state instructed to carry out relevant work in this area.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on the implemented activities to develop cooperation between our country and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO).

One of the priority directions of the state policy of Turkmenistan is the introduction of modern technologies and innovations into all sectors of the national economy. An important role in solving the tasks set in this area is given to constructive interaction with specialized international and regional organizations, including the EAPO.

In this regard, it was noted that in 2013 the State Service for Intellectual Property was created under the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. The Programme for the Development of the Country’s Intellectual Property System for 2021–2025 is aimed at the comprehensive implementation of the work of this Service. In order to protect and comprehensively guarantee copyright, cooperation with international organizations is strengthened on its basis.

In this context, a number of relevant proposals were submitted to the head of state for consideration, including the accession of Turkmenistan to the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention, which is a key document of the EAPO. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed about the possible benefits for our country resulting from joining the above-mentioned Protocol.

A proposal was also voiced to expand the representation of Turkmenistan in authoritative international organizations, in particular in the Eurasian Patent Office of the EAPO.

In addition, it is proposed to hold a regional forum on the legal protection of industrial designs in Ashgabat this October, and a regular meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization in 2025.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that our country is taking consistent steps to develop and expand fruitful cooperation with authoritative international structures. Having approved the proposals voiced, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue the relevant work to strengthen the constructive interaction of Turkmenistan with the Eurasian Patent Organization.

Next, the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M.Chakyyev, reported on the progress of implementation and modernization of digital technologies in the country.

As reported, the introduction of innovative technologies and digital solutions in Arkadag city, built in the foothills of Kopetdag on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and as a result of the unprecedented efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, promoted the creation of smart city and smart home systems, remote control of these services, increasing reliability from cyber threats. It was also noted that the use of innovations and modern technologies is envisaged during the construction of Ashgabat City.

In view of the advisability of studying international experience, features and technical characteristics of 5G technology, which, in comparison with 4G, increases high data transmission capacity, reliability and stability of the connection by 10 times, the head of the Agency submitted a corresponding proposal from the Türkmenaragatnaşyk agency to the head of state for consideration.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that advanced digital technologies are being introduced in the country and effective measures are being taken to transition to the digital economy and its development. These works require constant improvement. Currently, modern 5G technologies are widely used abroad, and the head of state noted, having approved the proposal presented, instructed the head of the Agency to study the possibilities and advantages of this technology. 

Then, addressing members of the Cabinet of Ministers and compatriots, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in our country for three days, in particular on June 16-17-18. In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan announced that he had signed a Decree on the celebration of Eid al-Adha and moving the day off on June 16 to Wednesday – June 19.

May the sadaqah given on the days of Eid al-Adha and the prayers offered be accepted by the Almighty, Kabul Bolsun, said the President of the country, cordially congratulating everyone on this sacred holiday. 

During the meeting, members of the Cabinet of Ministers cordially congratulated the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag on Eid al-Adha.

Concluding the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished everyone sound health, family well-being and great success in the work being carried out for the sake of the prosperity of the sovereign Homeland.

Today, a meeting was held in the capital between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova and the Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev.

The subject of an interested discussion was the prospects for bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation, expansion of the exchange of experience in the legislative sphere.

The meeting also discussed organizational issues related to holding the next Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian Countries and the Russian Federation, designed to promote the strengthening of multilateral mutually beneficial partnership.

In conclusion, the parties expressed confidence in the successful development of inter-parliamentary relations, enriching them with new content.

On June 13, 2024, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova met with the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation K. Kosachev, who came to Ashgabat on a business trip.

During the meeting, the parties noted that a special role has attached to the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries in the further development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, and they exchanged views on the possibilities of expanding the scope of cooperation in this field in the future.

In the conversation, it was emphasized that the work of the parliamentary friendship groups created on a bilateral basis increases the opportunities for the exchange of experience in the improvement of legislation and parliamentary work.

Organizational issues related to the next parliamentary forum of the Central Asian states and the Russian Federation was also discussed. It was noted that this forum enhances mutually advantageous cooperation with the Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation, and serves to effectively and multilaterally develop international relations.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that effective parliamentary relations will be successfully developed and enriched with new content.

On June 12, 2024, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Ahsan Wagan.

In his speech, the Ambassador talked about the effective development of interstate and international cooperation, the reforms implemented in Turkmenistan, and the importance of the events organized in honor of the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the main areas of development of parliamentary cooperation established on a bilateral basis. It was noted that organizing meetings and conferences of peer committees, women, young parliamentarians on a regular basis within the framework of international parliamentary organizations, as well as on a bilateral and regional basis, creates a convenient space for sharing experiences in the field of legislative work.
